SLEAZY MAILER ALERT! . Sent by Town Supervisor Jen Desena, accuses her opponent Port Washington Police Commissioner Sean McCarthy of raising taxes. In reality, DeSena voted for the bond for the new police headquarters and has voted each year on the PW Police District budget. In actuality, it was Desena WHO RAISED OUR TAXES. Also her boss’s Tariffs are taxes on our community!!! Supervisor Jennifer DeSena please disavow this type of mailer. Run on your record.

cinemaoccupy • A film producer just bought the movie house he wants to save.
Jack Heller, founder of Assemble Media, closed on the Manhasset Theatre at 430 Plandome Road on Long Island for 3 million dollars on 27 July 2026.
The building runs 15,554 square feet and carries two ground floor commercial tenants. Century Circuit opened it in November 1936 as a single screen Art Deco house. Skouras, United Artists, Clearview and Bow Tie Cinemas ran it after that.

Benvenuti Italian Market Opens in Manhasset! The Food is delicious. We had the meatballs, chicken cutlets,lasagna, rice balls, charred long hots, peppers, broccoli rabe. And loaded up w cheeses. Also a full delicious panini menu. 19 Colonial Parkway (next to UPS)

Tony's Di Napoli's first Long Island outpost is taking over the former TGI Friday's space in Manhasset. That site will be converted into a large-format, family-style Italian restaurant with the same oversized portions and classic red-sauce menu the brand is known for in NYC.
