Ate like crap yesterday, slept like crap last night, so I knew it wasn't going to be a good day. Today wasn't supposed to be a run day because I was going to walk with a friend, but her plans changed, so ...

I went out later than usual and was determined to get 10k in for the Garmin weekend challenge, didn't care about time, just wanted to go the distance. It was a struggle, and my time wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I was still spent at the end.

Walked it off, came home and rested a bit, then back out for the final walk.

Another beautiful morning for a run, but I didn't want to go too far because I'll probably do the Garmin 10k thing this weekend. Just moseyed along, no goal in mind.

Still liking the 80:40 intervals (run 80 seconds, walk 40 seconds).

Will still get out for at least a mile walk later, and hope to finish the borders on my quilt so I can move on to another project. Beyond that, nothing much planned for the day.

How about you?

Happy Wednesday!

I waddled out the door on this beautiful morning for a 3.03 mile walk shortly after dawn. Again, I was tempted to run because the weather was near perfect (66°), but I was a good girl and talked myself out of it!

I'll probably get another walk in later for more sunshine and Vitamin D therapy. I hope to get my hands into some fabric and work on some more quilting today, and will need the break.

Waddle you be doing today?

Happy Tuesday!

Ohmy, what a beautiful morning it was for a run, about 66° when I went out, but today was walk day (after I shouldn't have run yesterday either), so I kept it to a walk, but I'm telling ya, it was hard!

I did my 30+ min worth, and while in a remote corner of this parking lot, did some intervals of walking backwards to work different muscles. Do you ever do that? I'll probably do a separate post about it.

Since it wasn't a long session, I still need a bunch of steps, and also had a library book to return, so mid-morning I figured I'd hop on up there and kill two birds with one stone.

Except I couldn't help myself this time. Since it was such a short distance, and I'll need the extra running miles for various Garmin challenges this month, I went out at a slow trot and grabbed another .75 mi worth. And I STILL need a bunch more steps, so I'll probably get another walk in later.

Shoot. I just remembered that I need to pick up a few things at Aldi, and I do NOT feel like going out. Ugh. Guess I'll clean up and do that. At least it'll give me a few more steps.

What are you filling your Tuesday with?

Today should have been walk day, but goodness, the weather conditions were too good to pass up. I think it was 68° when I left the house, which was really nice for a change.

Decisions, decisions. Ok, I'll run, but will keep it to just a couple miles, and don't push it.

Well, I stuck to part of that deal. Only did 3 miles, but first mile felt good, so I did put just a little more effort into the run segments, giving me negative splits again, and avg pace was under 15:00 ... pretty good for a run/walk session.

I did a short strength session before I went out, some yoga-type stretching when I came in, and still need to walk a mile at some point. Beyond that, it'll probably be TV, reading, and playing with fabric for me today.

What about you? Will you be fitting in a workout somewhere as you celebrate Labor Day?

Happy Sunday!

My day will be a mixed bag, I'm sure. I slept pretty well last night (big hooray there) and the weather was decent, so when I went out for my intervals at dawn, I decided to pick up the pace just a tad on the run portions. I can't be doing that all the time, but it felt pretty good this morning and I'm none the worse for wear (yet?), so I'll probably do the same here and there going forward.

I was really happy to see the times, too ... pretty significant negative splits!

I already got my mile walk to cool down from the intervals, so I won't need to go back out, but I'll make sure to keep moving around the house as I go about my day. I'll probably work on my quilt in between bouts of reading and watching TV.

What about you? Will you be testing your body, or taking it easy?

Good question!

Today was walk day, so I went out at sunrise and grabbed
3.14 miles worth. It was a beautiful morning, even if the humidity picked up a little the last mile or so.

I'll likely get out for at least one more walk later, and other than that, it'll be a pretty chill day here. I hope to work on my quilt some, and the rest of my day will probably be filled with a book and YouTube videos.

What sort of fun will your Saturday be filled with?

Got out for run/walk intervals at sunup for 3.26 mi, walked it off for .35 mi, and did some yoga-type stretching before breakfast.

Read a little while having my smoothie, then headed to the garage to work on some sewing, and managed to get a little accomplished on my quilt top. It was time to take a break before I made more boo-boos, and I realize that it's lunchtime, so that works out.

Will likely get at least one more walk in before the day is over, not sure if it'll be after lunch or supper.

What's your Friday look like?

Another night of pretty good sleep ... I could get used to this!

Today is walk day, so I was out just after dawn and grabbed 3 miles worth, even did a couple of sessions of walking backwards (will post about that later).

I've got to pick up a few things in town, but will still probably fit at least one more short walk in before end of day, either after lunch or dinner. Hope to get a little quilting done too.

What'll you be rockin' today?

Me!

I woke early and couldn't get back to sleep, but the sleep I did get was pretty good, so I'll take it.

I was tired of waiting, so I put a reflective vest on and headed out for a walk before sunrise. I didn't want to mess with my light, so stuck close to my neighborhood where there is no traffic, and no one up and moving at that time of day. The streetlights were enough to light my way, and I got my 30+ min in, and logged 1.65 mi out of the deal.

I'll likely get at least one more walk in today to grab a bit of sunshine (supposed to just shy of 100° later). If it's not too crazy, maybe I'll grab a mile run instead, just for giggles. I'll probably fit in a short strength session somewhere too.

Are you weady for what Wednesday brings?
