Strong Hitting Not Enough As Southern Swamp Mets Falls To Howell Indians

Even though Southern Swamp Mets collected 11 hits to Howell Indians's seven, they still fell 8-4 on Saturday. Tommy Kendrick led Southern Swamp Mets with three hits.

Howell Indians rallied for the victory despite trailing 4-0 in the first.

Southern Swamp Mets opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles. Southern Swamp Mets first got on the board when Kendrick singled, scoring one run.

Mitch Preston doubled down the left field line, which helped Howell Indians tie the game at four in the bottom of the fifth.

Howell Indians jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning after Preston homered to center field, and Nick Lovarco doubled to center field, each scoring two runs.

Southern Swamp Mets Defeats NJ Aztecs In Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong on the mound on Sunday, but Southern Swamp Mets defeated NJ Aztecs 3-1. Tim Jinks started the game for Southern Swamp Mets and recorded 15 outs.

Southern Swamp Mets got on the board in the first inning after Nick Marcketta hit a solo home run to right field.

Lasky homered to center field, which helped NJ Aztecs tie the game at one in the top of the second.

A home run to center field by Justin McFadden gave Southern Swamp Mets the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the fifth.

Jinks earned the win for Southern Swamp Mets. The pitcher allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out eight and walking two. Lasky took the loss for NJ Aztecs. The pitcher went five innings, surrendering three runs on five hits, striking out four and walking one. Reece Miller collected the save. Game Goes Down To The Wire As Southern Swamp Mets Loses To Jughandles On Final Play

A walk-off left Southern Swamp Mets on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Jughandles on Sunday at John P. Stevens High School. Jughandles were down 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning when Craig Ebinger singled, scoring two runs.

Southern Swamp Mets lost despite out-hitting Jughandles 14 to 12. Nick Marcketta and Zack Perricone each collected three hits for Southern Swamp Mets.

Southern Swamp Mets got on the board in the top of the first inning after Justin Glaser doubled, scoring one run, and Brian Perez homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Perricone homered to left field, scoring two runs in the top of the second for the Southern Swamp Mets.

Jughandles flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the ninth, scoring seven runs on five hits to take the lead, 8-7. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Ebinger on the eighth pitch of the at-bat that drove in two.

Tommy Kendrick drove in four runs on two hits to lead Southern Swamp Mets past NJ Aztecs 8-1 on Sunday. In the third inning, Kendrick hit a grand slam to right field.

Southern Swamp Mets scored three runs in the top of the seventh on a home run to right field by Brian Perez.

Southern Swamp Mets bested NJ Aztecs 4-2 on Sunday.

Southern Swamp Mets opened the scoring in the second after Zack Perricone grounded out, scoring one run.

In the top of the fourth inning, NJ Aztecs went back into the lead after Rezach singled down the right field line, and Halasy hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Southern Swamp Mets jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Justin McFadden tripled to left field, and Jay Jubak singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Southern Swamp Mets Fall To Jughandles After Surrendering Big First Inning

Jughandles scored nine runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Southern Swamp Mets 11-2 on Wednesday at Manalapan Parks and Recreation.

Jughandles got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Tomalounge singled, scoring one run, Matt Gukes singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Kanhasa singled, scoring two runs, Jordan Gilruth hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, David Marcano singled, scoring one run, and Tomalounge singled, scoring two runs.

TJ Masella earned the win for Jughandles. The hurler gave up five hits and two runs (one earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Ryan Tjarks took the loss for Southern Swamp Mets. The starting pitcher went three innings, allowing nine runs (one earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking three.

Ray Keelan, Jay Jubak, Bill Lee, Bill Hauer, and Kenny Wines each collected one hit for Southern Swamp Mets. Jubak and Lee were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Southern Swamp Mets.
