It’s older than you think
Lawn bowls dates back to 13th century England—and even earlier versions were played in ancient Egypt.

Bowls aren’t perfectly round
They’re slightly biased (asymmetrical), which is why they curve instead of rolling straight. That’s what makes the game so strategic.

It was once banned by kings 👑
In medieval England, bowls was banned by King Edward III because soldiers were playing it instead of practicing archery.
