After careful assessment of our trail conditions and upcoming weather forecast, we've made the tough decision to end grooming operations for this season. With heavy traffic from Birkie week, warm temperatures, and dirt prevalent in the snow, our base has deteriorated significantly, leaving some areas bare and others with just a few inches of snow. 🌬️❄️

Standing water is starting to appear on the course, which may worsen throughout the week. While trails will remain open for skiing at your own discretion, please be aware that surface conditions will vary. ⛷️ We urge everyone to ski within their comfort levels and stay vigilant.

Although temperatures may drop below freezing at night, leading to potential ice build-up in the mornings, we'll be focusing on preparations for the upcoming Fat Bike Birkie this weekend. 🚴‍♂️

We want to extend a huge thank you to all of our skiers for joining us this season, despite the challenges of a mostly snowless winter. 🙏 Here's to hoping for a much snowier 2024/25!

Bib pickup is happening bright and early this morning from 7:30am to 11:30am at the American Birkebeiner Trailhead! ⏰ Get ready to hit the trails and enjoy some epic skiing!
9:00am-10:00am American Birkebeiner 30K Skate/Classic Start Window
11:00am-11:30am Kortelopet 20K Skate/Classic Start Windo
12:00pm-12:30pm Prince Haakon Start Window
3:30pm Finish Cut-Off

We are adding an Open Track event on Thursday! If you would like to switch from your race on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you may switch to this new Bonus Open Track on Thursday. Please fill out the link so that we can register your date change. You must pick up your bib at Hayward High School before the race. No bibs will be available at the race venue.

🌨️❄️ A little update: We've been working very hard to remove the snow! We took on a significant amount yesterday, and we're doing it again today. We intend to continue advancing through today and Wednesday after fortifying strategic locations around the start stadium. Our objective? To be ready for amazing skiing on Thursday, February 15th! 🎿 However, as always, we'll update you on any last-minute calls and information on Wednesday. Many thanks for your understanding and patience! Watch this space for additional developments!
