K9 Heeler

Some quick intake shots of the newbies, Lady and Cody. These two were owner surrenders, which meant they needed to be out of the "shelter" within just a couple of days. They were lucky to even be given those days. Owner turn ins can be killed immediately. Thanks to German Shepherd Dog Rescue and Holistic Care Education Center for saving them, and for the foster, who took them in directly from the hell hole that pass for shelters here in TX. They will be staying with us at K9 Heeler for the foreseeable future so we can help get them ready to be adopted. This would not be possible without help from the public. Please honor your pledges and please donate (if you can!)

Two more lives saved by German Shepherd Dog Rescue and Holistic Care Education Center . Meet, Lady and Cody. They were surrendered to a VERY high kill shelter in Houston, TX. Thanks to a nice lady, they had a foster for a few weeks before arriving here today for a spot of training. If anyone feels inclined to donate to their care, please do so by going directly to the rescue page via the link. This is a 501c3 organization that I have worked closely with over the past 5 years. I know this rescue personally, so if anyone has questions, please ask!

Our new fabulous friend, Hopper. This boy was saved off the streets by a private rescuer in Montgomery County, TX. Hopper absolutely LOVES everyone, and gets on well with the dogs he's been exposed to. His foster mom / rescuer is seeking help from a rescue organization in order ro get him posted for (ideally, out of state) adoption. He is very energetic and rambunctious, and loves to run. He also loves to be loved on. His best home would be a younger person or couple with no small children. He is friendly enough, altho, he needs training to learn manners and boundaries. Unknown how he would be with cats, but should be ok with a friendly dog sibling.
P.S.: he has been dna tested, and came back as mostly Boxer. If anyone is interested, I can find out what the rest of the mix is.

Another German Shepherd Dog Rescue and Holistic Care Education Center fella. Bruno spent the night with us so he can hop on the transport. He will be off to his new home this afternoon!
