I’m asking everyone to help us show our support for the Madison County Youth Cheer (MCYC)!

They’ve consistently shown up to our games, brought incredible energy, and helped create an exciting atmosphere for our players and families. Now it’s our turn to return that support.

Please mark your calendars and make plans to attend their upcoming events.

Dear Madison Youth Basketball Families:

We are excited to host our second week of games this Saturday at both Waverly Yowell Elementary School and Wetsel Middle School!

Please find attached the game schedule for the regular season. Players should plan to arrive at their games 15 minutes before the start time.

At this time, we will be offering open gym skills practice for all registered youth basketball participants in grades 3-5 on Sundays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Waverly gym. This is not mandatory, nor is it a team practice. There will be a few coaches in attendance who will run drills with the participants. This is a great way to get extra practice!

Inclement weather
If we are canceling practices or games for inclement weather, we will first post on our Youth Basketball page and our Parks and Recreation page. We will also send out a text message and email. Decisions for practices will be made by 4:00 pm by Parks and Recreation during the week, and decisions for Saturday games will be made by 7:00 pm on Fridays. Please note that while we often follow the MCPS closures, we don't always. If you do not see anything posted, please assume all practices and games are on as scheduled.
