Today is a very special day! 26 years ago today, June 1, 2026 I had my first karate class. 26 years later I’m still practicing, learning, and teaching Okinawan Seidokan Karate. I give credit to continuing all my martial arts training for having the ability to continue doing what I can even with physical disabilities I have, and to do other physical activities that I love! Enjoy and celebrate the day with me by doing your favorite kata!

Finally got the time to share what happened this past Saturday! We had 3 students test at Zenbudo Dojo, 9th kyu, 7th kyu, and 4th kyu. Help me congratulate these 3 on their success! I already can tell they are determined to keep going and cant wait to see what more they will accomplish! And special thank you to DJ Tunnell Sensei for visiting and observing our tests! Help me congratulate Creed, Sadie, and Michael!

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some news for you all! Zenbudo Seidokan Karate Kobudo is coming up on its 3rd year anniversary this month! Its because of you all that I have been around this long! It is my honor to share that Zenbudo Dojo will be offering more programs for the community, starting as early as February 2026! Not only will I be providing practical Okinawan Karate and Kobudo classes and my Lil Dragons Program, I will be offering Kickboxing classes, Self-Defense courses, and a dedicated Neurodivergent Class! For those that cant make it in person, I am developing an online class for karate as well! I will also have weekend classes, while having special guests/instructors to cross train with! I will also be collaborating with Brandon Rivers and support the combat sports gym he is bringing into the community! I have over 25 years of experience in martial arts, and want to share my knowledge for all who want to learn! Now, I am going to offer a deal for those that sign up for this month, where you will have a membership fee that will be discounted and locked in going into the new year! If you sign up next year, then you will be at the new standard membership fee! Message me directly or on my dojo page and let me know what class you are interested in, and I will provide you answers for all your questions! Here are the programs that will be offered:
Okinawan Karate and Kobudo: ages 7 and Adult
Lil Dragons: ages 4-6
Kickboxing: (depending on interest, I can have a kids kickboxing ages 7-12, adults kickboxing ages 13 and adult, and would be willing to have a womens only kickboxing class)
Self-Defense: ( will have a womens self defense course ages 16 and adult "will be done once a quarter", depending on interest will provide a general self defense course, and or provide more frequent classes.)
Neurodivergent Class: ages 7-12 and ages 13 and adult
