🥎We ended our season on another successful weekend!
This team has developed so much grit and grown exponentially over the last year. When they first came together, some had never played travel, some were still 8, many had never seen a live pitch. They learned to play through pressure, handle adversity, and step up when their team needed them. They overcame obstacles personally and as a group. Most importantly, they came together and functioned as a team, celebrating their teammates’ successes and picking each other up when they were down.
After going 3-0 in Birmingham, we ended up taking second in the gold bracket to a GREAT team, but these girls have nothing to hang their heads about. We ended our season with so many accomplishments, and 4 championship appearances out of 6 summer tournaments.
