MCHS WRESTLER MAKES ALL-STATE — Shilo Bryan, a senior wrestler at Moore County High School, has been named all-state by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association. She wrestled at the 235-pound class this past season. (Graphic Courtesy of Jeff Reed)

MCHS Wrestling made of fun time out of the fundraiser. Working station #5 for the Oak Barrel Half Marathon. Great help from our wrestlers and parents.

2025-2026 MCHS Wrestling officially ended yesterday at the Freshman and Sophmore State Tournament. This young group of wrestlers won some and lost some. They all improved significantly this year and we look forward to a successful 2026-2027 season.

Kennedie Teters capped off her season with an outstanding performance to lead the future of MCHS Girls Wrestling with a 3rd place finish. The celebration occurred at In-N-Out where she tried a hamburger for the first time in her life!!

Shilo Bryan 4TH PLACE IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE 2026!!
3 time State qualifier
2 time State medalist

Words can't express how proud I am of this young woman. Shilo has achieved so much and will continue to be a model student, athlete and outstanding young adult for every one she is around. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. It has been a honor to be your coach.

Izayah Pettygrue wrestled hard yesterday but came up short of advancing to State. A bright future ahead of this young athlete. Honored to be his coach.

Congratulations to our MCHS Wrestling STATE QUALIFIER
Shilo Bryan after a 2nd place finish at Girls Sectionals today.
Unfortunately Lavania Chase finished her High School wrestling today, failing to qualify for state. So much tallent in these 2 Girls. I can't say enough about these 2 wonderful, intelligent athletes. I am proud to be their coach. It has been a honor to teach them. Please give a praise to these stars who have paved the way for future Moore County High School Girls Wrestling.

Moore County High School Boys wrestled in Regionals today. Very proud of this bunch of young wrestlers and their progression this season.
CONGRATULATIONS to
Izayah Pettygrue for a 4th place finish and advancing to Sectionals dispite having to medical forfeit his last match.
A great day for theses young group of freshmen and sophomores. Winning alot of matches but just falling shy of placing.
