After more than two decades leading Liberty Christian football, Coach Frank Rocco is stepping aside as head coach. State championships. Playoff runs. And most importantly, generations of young men shaped through this program.

Tonight we sat down with Coach Rocco and the man stepping into the role, Coach Tyler Meeks. Coach Meeks played here, coached here, and knows the culture and mission that have defined LCA football for so many years.

This conversation looks back at the journey of the program, what has made Bulldog football unique, and what the future holds.

Coach Rocco’s legacy at LCA will be felt for years to come. And the next chapter of Bulldog football is getting ready to begin.

Liberty Christian Academy Announces Retirement of Legendary Head Football Coach Frank Rocco
Retirement effective at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year.

After 20 seasons leading the Bulldogs, Coach Rocco’s influence on our football program and the lives of our student-athletes is immeasurable. His legacy of leadership, faith, and commitment has shaped generations and will forever be part of LCA history.

We are deeply grateful for his service and wish him continued strength, health, and joy with his family in this next chapter.

Bulldog Nation, our run came to an end today in Nokesville. Kettle Run 29, LCA 28.

It hurts because this group fought with everything they had. It hurts because they left it all on the field.

But we choose gratitude.

Thank you to every player who gave their heart this season.
Thank you to our coaches who poured into these boys day after day.
Thank you to the families who drove miles, washed practice clothes, cheered loud, and carried the load behind the scenes.
Thank you to our fans and friends who showed up, shared the journey, and believed in these boys every single week.

Every season has a final whistle. What lasts is who we became along the way.

As always, win or lose, our boys ended today with what anchors this program.
They gathered together and sang “Victory in Jesus.”
Because our hope does not rise and fall with a scoreboard.

Thank you for an unforgettable season.
We love this team. We love this community.
Go Bulldogs. Always.

School is closed. The snow is coming down. And our boys are gearing up for a state semifinal trip to Nokesville tomorrow.

Bulldog Nation, the new episode of Bulldog Breakdown is live.

If you missed Friday night, you missed a classic. Our guys battled through one of the toughest rivalry games in the region and came out as Region 3C Champions after an overtime win. Defense set the tone early with a dominant first half that held Heritage to only seventeen total yards. Championship level effort from start to finish.

This week on the Breakdown, we look back at that win, talk through what defined the Bulldogs in the biggest moments, and sit down with Coach Rocco to preview our state semifinal matchup at Kettle Run. One win from the state championship right here in Lynchburg.
