Well it's way past time on update on last season races. Did not go so well driver could not get his s**t together in qualifing 13th out of 28 cars, so never less had our work cut for us started 15th because of line-up scew-ups so being we managed to get up to 9th but finished in 10th for first main. Second main started 6th outside behind the ol' coxblocker machine was feeln good about that because I knew if I could stay on his bumper we'd go to the front which we we're until I got caught up in turn 2 the 97 had a flat was tryn to get off track the 33 seen it dropped down and I was full on gas ran up is ass and couldn't get off fell back to 22nd ended up in 12th. We made changes in last couple of weeks that were positive we were running up front for contention for the 1st main win, but have to wait till next year now. Thanks to C.N.S for a place to play and competitor's it's get tight out there anymore. Thanks to S.C. Blanton Express, McKiney Manufacturing, Callopy Performance Motors for sponsorships and all the fans come out each week to cheer there favorites on ! Thanks to all my wife Caryn for letting a ol' man go play, crewchief Rugg, pit crew Scoot, James Moody, James Hindergardt, Davey. See ya next year "Wang".

ROOKIE HAS LOFTY EXPECTATIONS FOR OPEN WHEEL SHOWDOWN

October 21, 2025 - Las Vegas, Nevada - A quick look at the Bitnile.com Open Wheel Showdown Presented by askROI winged sprint car entry list reveals a little-known driver from Brighton, Colorado. Adam Hilton has officially filed an entry and plans to participate in his very first OWS at the “Bullring” at Las Vegas Motor Speedway November 6-8.

Hilton’s story is an intriguing one. There’s a reason fans may be unfamiliar with him. He’s a rookie. And when we say rookie, he’s a rookie in every sense.

The OWS has quickly become the biggest pavement sprint car race in the entire country in terms of total car count and prize money. Teams annually migrate from all over the country in hopes of taking home the $50,000 first place prize money. Every driver has self-imposed goals of what they hope to accomplish during the weekend in Las Vegas. Hilton is no different.

The 42-year-old Hilton might have the toughest job ahead of him compared to others. Not only is he a sprint car rookie, but he only has five career starts dating back to last season, and they have all come at Colorado National Speedway in Dacono, Colorado.

What he lacks in track time and set-up experience, he more than makes up for it with enthusiasm, passion, and lofty goals.

His love for sprint cars began as a kid in 1995.

“I was riding my bicycle as a kid in 1995. This guy in my neighborhood, Craig Shaeffer, started his sprint car down the street by my house” remembers Hilton. “I chased that thing with my bicycle. I ended up being on his ASCS championship team in 1996 after that. I wasn’t more than ten or eleven years old.”

After a career that included super stocks and late models, Hilton bought a sprint car in 2024.

“After a late model race a couple years ago. I was having a beer with Cris Muhler. He was telling me about this new non-wing sprint car series that was starting. He said I’ll sell you that sprint car in my back yard for $4,000. A guy I was crewing on a late model for had an all-aluminum engine sitting in the shop. He told me to take it and put it in the car. The whole thing just started coming together from there even though we didn’t race that car.”

“Then a friend of mine, Steve Lacy’s dad, had a sprint car. He had the passion to race again but Steve didn’t have the passion to drive again. Low and behold enough people came together and purchased the BEAST for me that they had for sale.

In a career that has so far included only four winged shows at CNS, he proudly points out he has made the A-main all four times with fields of nearly 30 cars.

“My third time out was a non-wing race at the same track. I got quick time. I was second in my heat race. In the feature event I was taking the lead and spun out. I got a flat, spun out, and couldn’t get it fixed. Made both A-mains gain this year at CNS during the fourth of July weekend.”

Now Hilton prepares to take on a field of some of the best winged pavement sprint car drivers in the country in a little over two weeks.

“This sprint car venture has kind of given me a drive in life and rejuvenated my passion for racing. Driving a sprint car has always been on my bucket list. I’ve always dreamed of doing this and its happening.

“When I told everybody I wanted to do Las Vegas, everyone pretty much told me its way above where we’re at. I said, ‘who says I can’t do it’. I looked at the roster and thought I’ve raced ahead of a lot of these guys already. I’m no Aaron Willison but I’ve already beaten a bunch of these guys. I’ve never driven a lap on the “Bullring” but I’ve watched races there.

“Steve Lacy has helped me acquire some pieces and components for the car. I think we now have something I can make the main event with.

“My goal is to make the A-main, which I feel I can. But the racer in me wants to go out and win it. I know I’ll have my work cut out for me and this won’t be an easy task. but the competitive part of me likes challenges. I’m looking forward to it.”

“I’ve had so many people step up and make this happen. If it wasn’t for these folks, I wouldn’t be going to Las Vegas. Custom Linings, Blue Ribbon Trophies, Colorado Imaging, Millenium Concrete Cutting, GTI Golf Carts, Uptown Speed Shop, Accublast, RAW Racing, Buckeye Welding, I.M.M., NBQ Motorsports, and many friends and family have donated countless hours to make this all possible.”

You must appreciate the hunger, passion, and drive Hilton exhibits. You can’t help but wanna pull for this rookie with odds stacked against him. If things go the way Hilton would like in Las Vegas, he may not be under the radar much longer.

Here's update for 8-16. Fi rst nite on new rubber again we qualified with a decent time but with the top 10 only seperated by .383 tenths we place p9. We had some luck with the invert started outside pole with 34 cars took the lead and led the first 17 laps until caution, on restart had a battle with the 97 made one lap crossing finish line 1st then another caution. Then things got a little screwy, they put the 97 ahead of me on restart of race not knowing why I took the outside line trying for the win knowing it was gonna to be tough with the 49 an 9 in next row could not make it work and finished 4th for the race still a decent night for the 11w. On too 8-30 double mains this week qualified 12th started in 11th made our way up to 5th place in the 20 lap race then a caution come and then again on restart they put us in p-6th not understanding why ?? finished 7th. Second main started 3 row outside made our way up to front battling the the 8- ball car of Adam Hilton for 2nd coming out of 2 with 6 laps to go the lead car 32 got loose a little and we ended up together in the infield taking us out of the race. The last 3 races we been running really well, car needs some fixing up for the final on 9-20 mostly cosmetic but did find out we lost a r.r. axle no biggie we'll get it taken care of and be back at it again. Thanks to all the fans afterwards in the pit's with encouraging comments, thanks to the fellow racers also tell you what it's been some exciting n good racn the last couple, thanks to all my sponsors as well until next time "Wang".

Well we just finished our 5th week, had a decent night of racn for being on 5 week old tires things got a little dicey in the main. We managed a decent qualifying spot 6p out of 25 cars, finished 4th in fast dash, started 10th in main finished 5th. Back to makn a few more changes hopefully for the better will be on new rubber so we'll see if our homework was correct. Should be a good nite this week 8-16 the Harvick boys will be back with the CarTour cars come on out and stop back in the pits. We'll see ya then F.B.R.

7-12-25. We finally had our 3rd race of the season i believe we had 34 cars start the main. I an crewchief Rugg had a decent nite racn, driver finally pulled a 3rd P in qualifying which give us a good starting position all nite. Heat race started outside pole pos with the 23 inside pole had a good battle for about 5 laps eventually fell back to 4th place for the race. Main started 3rd row inside with a good field of drivers all around me, battle back n forth for a while on bottom then decide to go outside groove was moving up until a slower car got shuffled up in front and lost momentum n 2 spots finished 6th P but over all a good nite. Thanks to SC Blanton Express, McKiney Manufacturing, Callopy Performance Motor n crewchief Rugged, and all the race fans n C.N.S. much appreciated. We are back on 7-26 see ya then. "Wang"

06/23/2025

Hello peeps, we finally got our 2nd race of the year in this past weekend. It was a hot mother out there, we h ad a decent run though. We went out first practice session and basically just shook the car down since it had been since May 10th our 1st race and really wasn't going to learn much being so hot early on. Anyhow qualifying in 7th with a field of 34 cars, finished 6th in fast dash. It finally cooled down some for the main started outside pole fell back a few spots put battled back n forth with front pack after a few restarts finishing 4th. Car was really handling well on the outside groove an had some good battles with the 61 n 23 cars. But we had a bit of carnage in both races though hopefully we'll get that cleaned up. Thanks to Rugg n Lisa makn the trip shout out to my sponsors as well an C.N.S. family and fans.!!
