We intend to raffle off a beef! For those of you who aren’t familiar with the term, “beef” refers to the finished product after a steer has been processed by a butcher.
The East Texas Heat organization has a generous donor who has offered to donate a Black Angus steer. A steer is a male bovine that has been castrated. The donor will raise, feed, and finish the steer and then deliver it to a processing facility when the time comes.
As you all know, beef is expensive, so this is an opportunity to win a significant amount of quality, locally raised beef!
Here’s how the raffle will work:
½ Beef — $50 per ticket
One winner will receive half of the entire steer, custom-cut to the winner’s preference.
¼ Beef — $25 per ticket
The remaining half will be divided into two quarters. Each quarter will be raffled separately, giving us two additional winners. Each winner will also be able to select their preferred cuts.
That means we’ll have THREE WINNERS total—one winner for the half beef and two winners for a quarter beef!
For example, if someone wanted to spend $100, they could purchase tickets for multiple chances to win.
