🐾 WELCOME TO LUFKIN LITTLE PANTHERS! 💜💛

Some of the biggest lessons our Panthers will ever teach won’t happen under the Friday night lights.

The Lufkin High School Little Panthers program pairs our varsity football players with younger members of our community, giving them the opportunity to build a friendship that reaches far beyond the football field. Following home games, our Big Panthers spend time with their Little Panthers—playing, hanging out, making memories, and most importantly, simply showing up.

To a child, having a varsity Panther choose to spend time with them can mean the world. They get someone to look up to, cheer for on Friday nights, and call their Panther. But we believe our varsity players receive something pretty special in return, too. They have the opportunity to lead by example, understand the impact they can have on a younger generation, and learn that being a Lufkin Panther is about so much more than what happens between the sidelines.

This page was created to share those relationships, the Saturday adventures, the smiles, and all the memories made along the way. We hope you’ll follow along as we celebrate a longtime Lufkin tradition and the special bonds between our Big Panthers and Little Panthers.

Because one day, those little feet may be the ones walking onto that field wearing purple and gold. And they’ll remember the Panthers who took the time to walk beside them first. 💜
