The Hockey world has lost a true legend today. Our Founder, Coach, Father, and Friend Kevin Baker passed away today at home surrounded by family and at peace. Kevin opened Skate Ranch to the public of Lubbock in 1967, and established the Lubbock Colts RHC in 1971. He has been the biggest supporter and advocate for Rink hockey in Texas and the USA ever since, and the Hockey Family feels this loss deeply. The Lubbock Colts will continue Kevin’s legacy, and continue to grow hockey in Texas just as he always intended. Condolences to his family, and all who knew him as a friend.
