One of the most heartbreaking things I remember about my children being in childcare years ago, was that they were sick ALL THE TIME! My youngest son was on antibiotics constantly for the first 2 years of his life, and I feel like he developed Allergies/Asthma as a result of the overuse of antibiotics. My sister has been using essential oils on my niece since she was born, and is now 2 years old and has NEVER been on antibiotics even while being exposed to countless illnesses at daycare. Don't get me wrong, I believe modern medicine and antibiotics are very important to have with healthcare; however, overuse of medications can have negative side effects. The essential oils have truly been life-changing for my family, and have been the missing piece of our wellness journey!!

Dear Parents,

It is with a heavy heart that we must inform parents that we are unable to provide after school cheerleading classes at the Frenship Schools for session 1 before Spring Break. I met with the assistant superintendent two times before Christmas, and she said Frenship will NOT approve flyers to go out in the Tuesday folders, nor will they ever allow flyers to go out anytime in the future. The other opposition that we had last semester was that our gym use fees TRIPLED, and with enrollments falling to about half of what they were last fall since we couldn't send flyers out in the Tuesday folders in August, we could not cover the increase in expenses.

The administration did say that they realize the current online communication system (the market place) has not been very effective this year. They have proposed significant changes to the technology department that I think will help in the future. As of right now, we have not heard back to find out if those changes will be made before March so that we can advertise for the Hip Hop Cheer Rock session that usually starts the week of Spring Break.

I have spend a great deal of time communicating with the Assistant Superintendent about my concerns with serving the students, and she is looking at some other options for us to be able to communicate with parents. I have also talked to the head of facilities to see if we might could get a break in the gym use fees.

We have served the Frenship Schools for 10 years, and never imagined these obstacles would prevent us from providing classes this semester. If you would like to email information ([email protected]) about how the change impacts your child/family, I would be happy to present those to the administration so that they can hear the parents perspective, and not just my concerns.

It has TRULY been a blessing to work with thousands of Frenship students over the past 10 years, and we hope to start back again in the near future!
