Yesterday was a long, dirty, and very productive day at the baseball fields!

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up and helped get the old fencing down and cleared out. It was a lot of hard work, but this crew jumped in and got it done!

A special thank you to Mitch Madigan and his son for coming down and working alongside our board members. Mitch grew up here and is home visiting family all the way from China, and still took time out of his visit to come help at the baseball fields. That says a lot about the connection people have to this little community, no matter how far away life takes them.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, brought tools, hauled fencing, and put in the work. Your help is truly appreciated! ⚾️

A huge thank you to Arnold Potter of P8 Ranch for generously letting us use his excavator, and to Tyler Martin of Martin Earthworks for providing the trailer to get it out to the baseball fields.

The excavator is helping us pull back the dirt and grass along the fence line, making it much easier to remove the old fencing while also preparing the ground for the new fence installation.

Projects like this truly take a community, and we couldn’t do it without the support of local businesses and neighbors who are willing to lend a hand. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and your investment in our community. Thank you, Arnold and Tyler!

***Reminder: Community Work Day This Saturday!***

Don’t forget! This Saturday, July 11 at 9 am we’ll be removing the old fencing at the baseball fields to prepare for the installation of new fencing.

We could really use all the help we can get! Whether you can stay all day or just lend a hand for an hour, every volunteer makes a difference.

Bonus: Anyone who helps is welcome to take home sections of the old fencing.

This field improvement is being made possible through the Proposition 68 Grant secured by the Loyalton City Council, and we’re excited to see this project move forward.

Bring work gloves, wear sturdy shoes, and come help us get the fields ready for the next phase. We hope to see you there!

⚾ Community Work Day – We Need Your Help! ⚾

On Saturday, July 11, starting at 9am we’ll be removing the old fencing at the baseball fields, and we need as many helping hands as possible!

All of the existing fencing must be taken down and hauled away to prepare the fields for the installation of new fencing. As a thank-you, anyone who comes out to help is welcome to take home any of the old fencing they would like.

The new fencing will be installed at a later date by Kunsman Fence Company. They have generously given the City a discounted installation price because the old fencing will already be removed before they arrive.

This project is made possible through the Proposition 68 Grant, secured by the Loyalton City Council, and we’re excited to see these improvements made to our baseball fields.

If you have a few hours to spare, we’d truly appreciate your help. The more volunteers we have, the quicker we can get the fields cleared and ready for the next phase of the project.

What a way to kick off the tournament! Congratulations to Feather River Major Baseball All-Star team on an incredible 10–8 victory over Intermountain in their tournament opener!

Way to battle, stay tough, and come away with a huge first win!

As our District 48 All-Star tournaments continue, we just wanted to take a moment to wish all of our Sierra Valley players the very best!

This year you’ll see our players representing both the Sierra Valley and Feather River All-Star teams, and we couldn’t be more proud of every one of them.

Some of our teams have already finished their tournament journey, while others are just getting started. No matter where your season takes you, remember what an accomplishment it is to be selected as an All-Star. You have represented your league with hard work, great attitudes, and a love for the game.

To our players, coaches, and families—thank you for the time, dedication, and countless hours you’ve put into making this season special.

We’re cheering for all of you from home and can’t wait to see what the rest of tournament season brings.
