The last Japanese command was in a cave below a cliff on the northern tip of Saipan. Below the cliff lies tanks, cannons and other limestone ruins left over from World War II. The area was also used by the US as underground storage for atomic bombs, which stored the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The area is now a small park where you can see the remains of military vehicles and explore the bunkers in the the cliffs.

I recorded this film when I was a scuba diving instructor in Saipan, Northern Marianas Island, which is a commonwealth of the United States in the western Pacific Ocean.
