Today marks the completion of the first official school year of the FDA Mentorship Program.

What a journey it has been.

For some of these players, this meant making the decision to homeschool. Together, they committed to training two hours a day, five days a week. Some of them have been with us for eight straight months. Through every challenge, every success, and every setback, they kept showing up.

Yes, we taught soccer. We spent countless hours developing technical skills, decision-making, confidence, and game understanding. But this program has always been about more than soccer.

It’s about teaching discipline, work ethic, accountability, leadership, confidence, respect, resilience, and how to handle adversity. It’s about learning how to be a great teammate, a great friend, and ultimately a great person.

A huge thank you to the parents who trusted us with their children and believed in this vision. We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout this first year.

To our players: thank you for your commitment, attitude, and willingness to grow every single day. We are so proud of what you’ve accomplished.

This was the first year of a one-of-a-kind program here in Kentucky, and we’re just getting started.

Big congrats to Elizabeth Leasher (2011) and Bennett Shutt (2017) on being selected for the final round of the USYF Futsal National ID Camp.

This event will bring together some of the top futsal talent in the country, all competing for an opportunity to earn a spot within the national team pathway.

Both Elizabeth and Bennett have put in so much hard work behind the scenes - showing up week in and week out, training consistently, competing, learning, and continuing to grow. We’re extremely proud to have them represent Futsal Development Academy at this level.

Wishing them the best of luck at camp. Keep chasing it. ⚽️

At FDA Mentorship this morning, the focus was learning how to escape pressure and stay composed in difficult situations.

Today’s drill was a 1v2 exercise - designed to teach players how to recognize defensive pressure, manipulate defenders, and find ways to escape into space using creativity, control, and quick decision making.

These are the types of situations players constantly face in real games. The goal isn’t just technical ability. It’s helping players become calm, confident, and intelligent under pressure.

This is a big part of what our FDA Mentorship Program is about.

The more comfortable players become in chaos, the more impactful they become in the game

Futsal DA 2011 Boys - Top 10 in the country 🇺🇸

This didn’t happen overnight.

There were losses. There were tough moments. But this group stayed committed to development - learning how to play, how to think, and how to compete the right way.

Results come when the foundation is built right.

This Sunday! There is still time to register! This will be for team selections for the Summer/fall/winter season.

FUTSAL PLAYER EVALUATIONS ⚽️

We’re looking for players who are serious about improving and ready to compete in a high-level environment.

Players selected will be placed on an FDA team for the Summer, Fall, and Winter seasons (through next year’s evaluations).

This summer, selected players will represent FDA in:
• June 12–14 Tournament
• June 19–21 Tournament
• + potential additional games/events throughout the summer

This is an opportunity to:

Compete in some of the top futsal environments in the country, train with futsal-specific coaches, and surround yourself with players who push you every session.

If your goal is to truly improve - your decision making, speed of play, and overall level - this is the environment for you.
