Varsity Jags return from spring break and defeated Westminster Schools of Augusta 13-4 yesterday.

Luke Bazemore goes 6 strong innings striking out 12. 8th Grader Kaleb Price closed it out throwing a scoreless 7th.

Jags offense collected 11 hits and scored 6 runs in the 2nd and 5 runs in the 6th. TJA is now 12-2 and remain 6-0 in region play.

Middle School Jags come back and walk it off vs. the Eagles! Down 12-1 in the bottom of the 5th, TJA scored 10 runs to make it a one run game. This inning included a Ryker Parrish 3-Run Homer. The Jags would shut Brentwood down in the top of 6th and Baylor Beasley tied the game up to make it 12-12 in the bottom half. Tucker Flowers walks it off with a base hit to score Beasley to win the game! Go Jags!

Varsity Jags lose a tough one to Brentwood today 3-2. Luke Bazemore threw a complete game allowing 2 earned runs and striking out 9. Jags had runners on 2nd and 3rd in the final inning, but came up short. Jags are now 11-1 (6-0). They will look to bounce back on Wednesday vs. EBA at Home.

Varsity Jags get another region sweep, defeating John Hancock 8 - 5 in Sparta. Blake Miller got the start and battled through adversity in the early innings. Miller finished strong throwing a complete game, allowing only 1 earned run, and striking out 9 batters. The Jags are now 11-0 and 6-0 in the region.

Varsity Jags handle business! They defeat John Hancock at home 15-3. Jags clinch the series and will look to get the sweep tomorrow in Sparta. Sophomore Kasen Smith cruised on the mound throwing 4 and a third innings with 9K’s. The offense exploded for 6 runs in the first and 8 runs in the second. The Jags are now 10-0 and 5-0 in the region.

Jags win Game 1 of the series 4-2! Luke Bazemore throws another complete game. Luke threw 7 innings, allowed 2 unearned runs, and struck out 12. The offense got off to a slow start but scored 4 runs in the top of the 5th. The defense stepped up and made big plays all game. Left Fielder Blake Miller threw out a runner at the plate and Catcher Grant Gillooly made a diving tag just in time. Luke Bazemore picked off a runner at first. Senior Ayden Barrow made a diving stop and threw out a runner for the final out. The Jags are now 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the region.

TJA Middle School A Team defeats Edmund Burke 8-5! The B team lost a tough one 9-4. Ethan Bedingfield and Garrett Smith combine for 5 innings, 4 earned runs allowed and 7 strikeouts in the win Jack Cooper, Tucker Flowers, and Will Guy go deep for home runs!

Walk Off thriller in Louisville! The Jags defeat Covenant in 8 innings! Blake Miller goes all 8 allowing 2 earned runs and striking out 7.

Down 3-1 going into the 6th, Cason Walden knocked in Grant Gillooly to make it 3-2. In the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs Blake Miller drew a walk and went 1st to 3rd on a base hit by Michael Dale. Miller would score on a wild pitch to tie the game 3-3. After the Jags held Covenant scoreless in the top half of 8th, Grant Gillooly led the bottom half out with a single. Gillooly stole 2nd and advanced to 3rd on an errant throw. Senior Cason Walden drove a ball to deep center for a walk off Sac Fly! The Jags move to 8-0 and finish the sweep to start off 3-0 in the region.

Varsity Jags clinch the series in Macon. They defeat Covenant 9-4. TJA was leading 9-0 entering the 7th and the Rams added some runs late. Sophomore Kasen Smith took a No-Hitter into the 7th inning. He finished with a line of 6 Innings, 2 hits allowed, and 9 strikeouts. Cason Walden finished it out striking out 2. The Jags are now 7-0 and 2-0 in the region.

TJA Middle School Jags tie JMA in Game 1 and win Game 2. The MS Jags are now 7-3-1 on the season. They will travel to Waynesboro on Friday to play Edmund Burke Academy in a double header.
