The link for hats is now LIVE! We have three styles available, FlexFit, Boonie, and Women’s ponytail style. All hats feature the Fiery Fins Scuba logo on a carbon fiber patch up front, with the FFS scramble on a carbon fiber patch on the back (Women’ ponytail has the scramble on the left side).

Congratulations to our newest PADI Divemaster, Brad Pilcher! Brad has worked tirelessly over the past year assisting me with classes while gaining certifications, and his experience showed in his performance today! There’s no doubt he is very prepared for his PADI IDC that he will be attending in July! Also, a HUGE shoutout to Jestin Harrison for coming out to assist today! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Great News!!! The Dr. has given me the green light 🚦 to return to all activities with no restrictions! That means Fiery Fins Scuba, LLC is now back up and running! It’s been a long few months, my gills are dry and I’m ready to get back at it, Haha!

If you’ve ever thought about giving Scuba Diving a try, we offer Try Scuba classes, along with PADI certifications ranging from Open Water Diver all the way through Divemaster. If you’re an agency needing members certified as Public Safety Divers, we do that as well. We can also handle any of your Dive Team training/refresher needs.

We also provide Search/Recovey/Salvage work. We handle anything from lost keys, wallets, phones and fishing poles to submerged vehicles and mechanical equipment.

Today, I lost not only a brother, but a good friend. Captain Josh Holloway lived his life a a public servant, and in his passing, he and his family continued his legacy by giving the gift of life to may others in their time of need. Please keep his family as well as his brother and sister firefighters in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

Alexandria Fire Department Announces Passing of Fire Captain Joshua Holloway

It is with deep sadness that the Alexandria Fire Department announces the passing of Fire Captain Joshua Leon Holloway, who died on February 18, 2026. Captain Holloway was a valued member of our department and served the Alexandria community with dedication and honor.

Captain Holloway joined the Alexandria Fire Department in 2007 and throughout his career demonstrated unwavering commitment to public safety and service. His professionalism, courage, and compassion touched the lives of countless citizens and fellow firefighters.

While Captain Holloway did not pass away in the line of duty, his contributions to the department and the community will never be forgotten. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Details regarding memorial arrangements will be shared as they become available. We ask that the public join us in honoring Captain Holloway’s memory and keeping his loved ones in your thoughts.
