Launching this Summer Season… our brand new Burbank Foothills location!

We are beyond excited to bring Soccer Routes to a new location! To the communities surrounding Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, and beyond… here we are.

After over a year of searching, planning, and building the right partnership, we’ve finally secured a truly special space for our families.

Private parking, restrooms and of course a beautiful field just for us!

This new location gives us something we deeply value:
A calmer, more private, more focused environment for player development.

For our current families, if this location is closer to home, you can now experience the same Soccer Routes coaching, curriculum, standards, and community you’ve come to love in Studio City / Sherman Oaks — now in the Burbank foothills.

This is not a park pop-up. This is not some rec program.
This is a long-term Soccer Routes home built intentionally for development, atmosphere, and experience.

Landon Donovan said it best.
“It’s a disaster… we have to win at 7 years old. It’s ridiculous.”

That mindset is exactly what’s broken in youth soccer.

At Soccer Routes, we’ve made a different choice.

We choose development over winning.
Because if a child can’t control the ball, pass, shoot, cross, they can’t play the game (short or long term) no matter what team they’re on.

We put fun first.
Because kids who enjoy the game stay in the game. And staying in the game is where real growth happens.

No standings. No politics. No “must win” at age 6,7,8 - that’s complete madness and will destroy US soccer within 10 years.

It’s time to make a stand before the youth game gets wrecked by money.

Most kids don’t quit soccer because they “lose interest.”

They quit because it becomes too hard.

And it becomes too hard when the technical foundation isn’t there.

If a child can’t control the ball, dribble confidently, or execute the basics under pressure…
they can’t truly enjoy the game especially in a team environment.

That’s where the problem starts.

Too many kids are rushed into teams before they’re ready.
It looks exciting in the short term… but long term, it leads to frustration, low confidence, and eventually walking away from the sport.

The reality: a huge percentage of players stop around 12–13 years old.

Not because they don’t love soccer —
but because they were never set up properly.

Every parent wants the best for their child.

More confidence.

But in youth soccer good intentions can sometimes lead us the wrong way.

When things get rushed. When it becomes too serious too early. When winning starts to matter more than learning and their actual ability on the ball.

Something important gets lost. And the child feels it.
