🏟️ MAJOR UPDATE: The Future of Professional Flag Football is Taking Shape. 🏈

Just one day after the NFL announced its historic investment in professional flag football, we’ve now gotten our first look at the proposed stadium that could host the league’s inaugural season in 2027.

Here are the biggest takeaways:

✅ All 32 NFL teams have backed the launch of a professional men’s and women’s flag football league.

🏟️ TMRW Sports has unveiled renderings of a purpose-built venue featuring a three-level outdoor stadium, fan seating for thousands, dining areas, and merchandise shops designed specifically for the professional flag football experience.

📍 The host city has not been announced yet, but the league is expected to launch in a single market during late spring/summer 2027.

This isn’t just about creating another league.

It’s about building a complete pathway for athletes:

🏈 Youth Flag ➡️ High School ➡️ College ➡️ Professional ➡️ 🇺🇸 LA28 Olympics

NFL Executive VP Troy Vincent said the professional league “completes the pathway” for elite athletes and creates new opportunities—especially for girls and young women helping drive the sport’s incredible growth.

NFL legend Tom Brady, one of the league’s investors, added:

“Flag football represents so much of what makes this game special… I’m excited to help take this sport to even greater heights through the launch of a professional flag football league.”

As someone who has believed in this sport for years, it’s exciting to watch these pieces finally come together.

Looking back at what was arguably one of the greatest media productions ever created for a flag football game. 🔥🏈

This Women’s 6v6 Contact Flag Football Championship was filmed like an NFL broadcast, complete with multiple camera angles, incredible drone footage, sideline coverage, and professional-level production.

Huge thank you to TUFF League Los Angeles for investing in women’s flag football and giving these athletes a stage worthy of their talent. Years later, this production still holds up and shows what’s possible when the game is treated like a true sport.

Women’s flag football has grown tremendously, and with the Olympics on the horizon, it’s exciting to see how far the sport has come. Videos like this helped showcase the speed, athleticism, strategy, and intensity of high-level women’s contact football.
