Game 7 is as good as it gets, and there's a 35% chance we will see the Spurs and the Knicks battle it out in a do-or-die contest to lift the Larry O'Brien trophy, per Novig.

The Spurs just survived a Game 7 vs. the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. The Knicks, on the other hand, are coming off back-to-back sweeps in the East, which gives them a clear advantage in the fatigue department. And after taking Game 1 of the Finals on the road, New York's advantage is even more pronounced.

The Spurs have bounced back stronger after setbacks in this playoff run, so the Knicks cannot afford to let their feet of the gas. This will be a true battle.

The hype for this Finals series is legit because it's the Knicks' first trip to the Finals in 27 years. New York is buzzing. Wemby's ascension to championship-level athlete and the Spurs' resurgence are also big factors. If this series comes down to a decider, expect pandemonium. Let's hope we get to witness this Game 7!

Few expected Landry Shamet to be playing heavy, high-leverage minutes in June.

He was viewed as a depth piece at the bottom of the roster.

A reliable veteran presence, but far from a key piece.

Yet, as the playoffs have advanced, Shamet has completely forced his way into the rotation by doing exactly what he does best: staying ready and hitting momentum-swinging shots.

His steady production and efficiency from beyond the arc have given New York a major spark off the bench right when they've needed it most.

His ability to execute his role to perfection is a massive reason why this team is where they are today.

That kind of reliability under the bright lights of the postseason doesn't go unnoticed.

Shamet has spent a chunk of his career playing on team-friendly veteran minimum deals, but this playoff run has completely altered his market value.

With the offseason arriving shortly, he has put himself in a prime position to sign a massive deal.

How crucial has Shamet's bench production been for New York's title hopes?

Five different journeys.

OG Anunoby became a champion in Toronto. Karl Anthony Towns grew into a star in Minnesota. Jalen Brunson showed flashes of what was to come in Dallas. Josh Hart earned his first NBA opportunity with the Lakers. Mikal Bridges built his reputation in Phoenix.

Now, all five paths lead to New York šŸ—½

The Knicks didn't draft this core. They assembled it piece by piece, bringing together players who had already proven themselves elsewhere and giving them a chance to chase something bigger together.

Three wins away from ending a 53-year championship drought, this group has an opportunity to make New York the most important stop of their careers šŸ†

De’Aaron Fox’s performance in Game 1 was far from what was expected of the Spurs point guard, and Dylan Harper’s activity on TikTok echoed the same sentiment. But the NSFW nature of the clip in question will not help the Spurs’ team chemistry as Game 2 nears: Full Report in Comments šŸ”—šŸ‘‡

The NBA’s new anti-tanking rule makes the Spurs’ young core even more special.

No more top-5 picks in three straight years for one team.

Which means what San Antonio just pulled off? Might never happen again.

2023 - Victor Wembanyama, No. 1 pick.
2024 - Stephon Castle, No. 4 pick.
2025 - Dylan Harper, No. 2 pick.

That’s a generational draft sequence.

Three straight years.
Three elite prospects.
Three potential franchise-changing players.

And now? That window is officially closed under the new rules.

Which makes this Spurs rebuild feel even more historic.

We may never see an ethical rebuild like this again.

Because years from now, people might look back at this stretch the same way they talk about legendary draft runs in NBA history.

The ultimate NBA crossover might actually happen. 😳

Brett Siegel reported on Clutch Scoops that Golden State Warriors' pursuit of LeBron James is getting š˜€š—²š—暝—¶š—¼š˜‚š˜€.

Stephen Curry is fully ready to recruit King James to the Bay Area this summer.

Per Siegel, LeBron has been at the top of Joe Lacob’s wishlist since 2020.

While many expect LeBron to stay put in LA, the Warriors are lurking as a very real threat and are preparing to throw their absolute best pitch to pair the two legends up for the final chapter of their iconic careers.

You think only NBA legends own real estate on the biggest stage in basketball?

Think again.

LeBron James has 10 Finals appearances.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has 10.
Bill Russell has 12.

All incredible.
But then there's another NBA Finals veteran...

Scott Foster.

Nineteen.

NINETEEN.

At this point, Scott Foster has seen more Finals basketball than some entire franchises.

Players come and go.
Dynasties rise and fall.
Scott Foster? Still making deep playoff runs.

LeBron chased Finals appearances for two decades.

Scott Foster somehow doubled it.

The NBA Finals aren't complete without superstars.

And apparently...

One referee.

The dream of Giannis Antetokounmpo in a New York Knicks jersey is dead, according to Shams Charania.

Word is the Knicks knew Giannis wanted to be in New York, and they even threw out some massive offers.

But Milwaukee Bucks wouldn't budge, New York refused to gut the team, and negotiations completely stalled out.

So the Knicks did the coolest thing possible: they washed their hands of the drama and just built a powerhouse anyways.

Instead of waiting around for a savior, they went to work.

They traded for KAT, extended Mikal Bridges, locked down OG Anunoby, and marched right into the NBA Finals.

Turns out, they didn't need him.

Giannis definitely won’t be playing at the Garden next season.

If the Greek Freak does ever force his way out of Milwaukee, he’s going to fit way better with teams that have the assets and space to build around him from scratch—think Miami Heat or the Thunder.

As for the Knicks?

They already built their masterpiece.

Turns out the best superstar trade is the one you never make.

Josh Hart's story to make the NBA is straight out of a movie.

Back in his freshman year in high school, Hart and his family lost their home to a fire.

They lost everything.

Clothes gone.
Shoes gone.
Even their pets couldn't survive.

Luckily, nobody from their family was harmed.

Hart also earned a scholarship to play for Sidwell Friends, a private school in D.C.

There was just one problem.

The school was too far from where their family was staying.

He accepted the offer and went through the long commutes just to get school.

Unfortunately, by the end of his sophomore year, the school's headmaster told him he wouldn't be welcomed back to school because of his poor grades.

Hart was ready to move to a different school.

But the relationships he built at Sidwell weren't.

Members of the school rallied around him.

They spammed the headmaster's email and started a Facebook group titled Let Josh Stay to give him another chance which he eventually got.

From there, Hart never looked back.

One of his teammates let him stay at his home and his mom helped tutor him to improve his grades.

By the time he graduated high school, Hart was an eagle scout and the 82nd best player of his class.

At Villanova, Hart's enthusiasm and effort became contagious.

He won a national title in 2016 and even had his jersey retired six years later.

And now? He's doing the same thing for the Knicks.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals was the perfect Josh Hart game.

He scored just 3 points, shot 1-for-5 from the field.

Yet somehow still finished with game-highs in rebounds, assists, and steals.

More rebounds than 7'4" Victor Wembanyama.
More assists than De'Aaron Fox.
As many steals as the entire Spurs roster combined.

That's Josh Hart.

As much as everyone loves to give Jalen Brunson the credit for the Knicks turnaround, Hart's the engine that keeps everything running.

Josh Hart's built a career off grit and effort.

Because with everything he's been through, he knows exactly how quickly everything can be taken away.
