A little reminder that your trainer is human, too. ❤️
In 2024, I was at my heaviest and measured 33.8% body fat.
I was still working out, but I was eating in a calorie surplus, moving less, and honestly…I didn't feel comfortable in my body. I had settled into it without really doing anything to change it.
After an elbow injury in 2025, I decided it was time to get intentional.
I tracked my food, created a calorie deficit, increased my steps, prioritized sleep and hydration, and eventually hired a fellow trainer to help keep me accountable.
I reached my goal weight for my StrongFirst certification and went from 33.8% → 30.7% body fat.
Then I decided I wanted to break 30%.
So I stayed consistent.
By May 2026, my DEXA scan showed 28.4% body fat. 🎉
I'm incredibly proud of myself not because I achieved some “perfect” body, but because I proved to myself that small, consistent changes really do add up.
And that's what I want my clients to know:
You don't need to be perfect.
You don't need to make drastic changes.
You need a plan you can actually stick to. ❤️
