Dancing is a good whole-body workout that is actually fun.

It's good for your heart, help makes you strong, and can help with balance and coordination.

In fact, a 30-minute class burns between 130-250 calories, about the same as jogging. Dancing can also be low-impact, depending on the style.

To keep your blood pressure healthy, you need to keep exercising regularly.

Regular exercise usually takes one to three months to impact your blood pressure, with studies showing the importance of getting three 120 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity a week, or a combination of both.

Beginners could try three sessions of ten minutes three times a day, equal to the one 30-minute session.

Any activity that increases your heart and breathing rates is considered aerobic, including walking, swimming, jogging, gardening, climbing stairs, bicycling, or active sports like basketball or soccer. And of course my classes!

Always check with your doctor before beginning any exercise program.
