In honor of May being Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage month, I will be hosting a special 2-hour Self-Defense Workshop for all AAPI folks this Sunday (5/21) from 11am - 1pm.
In this workshop, you'll learn how to take control of a dangerous situation so you have the tactical advantage even if an opponent is bigger, stronger, or more skilled than you. Self-defense, however, is more than just fighting. It's also about paying attention, strategy, and finding options. We'll discuss using your senses to orient to your environment and tapping into your intuition to avoid potential danger. We'll also cover situational awareness, reading body language, and understanding your own personal boundaries.

Each part of this workshop is important, so please plan to arrive on time or early as you won't be able to join late. Please account for more travel time due to weekend trains when you're planning your travel. Doors will close at 11:05am.
Wear comfortable clothing, bring a water bottle and notebook, and come a few minutes early if you haven't been to the gym before to sign the waiver. 👊🏽
