Here are 7 tips to jump-start your goals.

1. Drink plenty of water. Adult men should consume 16 cups of water per day while women should have at least 12 cups per day.

2. Regularly eat balanced meals. Make sure each of your 3 meals per day consists of proteins, carbs, and fats.

3. Refrain from sugars and alcohol. Sugary drinks and alcohol are considered empty calories with little to no nutritional value.

4. Snack on fruit and veggies in-between meals. We all get hungry in-between meals, fruit and vegetables are great because they are low-calorie foods with plenty of volume to hold you until your next meal.

5. Get more active. Add 30 minutes of exercise per day to accelerate your weight loss journey. Even a simple walk will help a lot.

6. Prioritize your sleep. Adult men and women should get at least 6-8 hours of sleep. This will help you recover and lose fat during your rest.
