We raced at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park this weekend. 12 cars for their first RaceSaver Sprint Series event. Awesome racetrack. Started pole in the heat and finished 2nd after getting jumped by a mile on the start. No biggie as there was a 10 car redraw for the format 😢. Anyone want to guess which pill I pulled?

So I started 10th in the feature and was planning to just run the fence for 20 laps and see what happened. Sadly I only made it half a lap before the upper steering mount broke leaving me trying to steer the car with the wheel in my lap. I somehow managed to keep the car out of the fence and the few cars behind me did good to avoid me as I was out of control. (Silver lining of pulling the 10 pill!)

It was a long way to go and have a part fail on us. But that is on me for trusting an old part for too long. I got away with a cheap lesson learned all things considered.

Unfortunately this puts an end to a couple of streaks we had going. We went 21 races in a row with no DNF's and 18 in a row were Top 10 finishes dating back to the end of 2024.

Here is the edited video from Lawrenceburg Speedway last weekend where Bradley picked up the win with the Huntleys Hoosier Winged Sprint Series. Heat race and feature both included. The race night went really well for the gold 19. Bradley was quick time in group. finished 2nd in his heat and went 5 to 1 in the feature. We were very surprised to find the bottom of the track holding up so well all night but you got to race what the track gives you. We are all very excited to get a win so early in the year.

Friday night we kicked the season off with the Huntleys Hoosier Winged Sprint Series at Circle City Raceway .

I busted out the driver suit for the first race of the year and Bradley and Bob were spinning the wrenches. 20 cars signed in and we were quickest of them all for qualifying! Actually ended up being the fastest car at the track overall up against the 36 non wing 410's too!

Heat race saw the gold 19 on the pole. Led every lap and won that.

Redrew a 3 for the feature. After a few laps rolling the bottom we took over the lead and set sail. Had a 2.5 second lead at one point but a lot happens in a 25 lap race. One red and two cautions kept the field tight. A restart with 6 laps to go had us still in the lead but the track was changing. The saying about "being the leader late in a race not always being the best" rang true. With 2 to go 2nd place railed around the top and took the lead away. Almost had a clean sweep on the night but a solid evening with a 2nd place finish is still very good!

We are at Lawrenceburg Speedway this coming Saturday.

Definitely hoping to make a trip down South again in 2026! We love racing with the Carolina Sprint Tour when we get the chance. This is very cool of them to highlight drivers in the off season.

A little Sunday action at Circle City Raceway for the Spooky Halloween Special. Only 8 winged cars showed up but it was still a fun day at the racetrack!

Bradley qualified quick time overall. 2nd in the heat and 2nd in the feature. The car had plenty of speed and the setup was dialed in for the feature. Just ended up being a race to turn 1 between the top 2. After that Bradley drove a really good race up on the fence trying to capitalize on any mistakes from the leader, but no mistakes were made. Still fun! Racing is cool!
