Not everyone sees the countless hours, sacrifices, setbacks, and determination that have gone into Logan’s journey. They see the wins, the fast times, and the pictures in the winner’s circle, but they don’t always see the story behind them.
Logan started rodeoing at just 6 years old on an old retired head horse named Rosie. She learned the basics, gained confidence, and fell in love with the sport. Soon after, she and her Papa began working with a horse named Maymay. They hoped she would become her barrel horse. Then tragedy struck. Her Papa passed away, and only two weeks later, Maymay suffered a devastating injury.
With limited options, Logan spent the next season riding Salsa, her Papa’s favorite horse. They struggled to find their rhythm, but she never quit. Even when keeping all the barrels and poles standing felt impossible, she kept showing up.
In 2024, Stormy entered the picture. While many riders would have been discouraged by the challenges of seasoning a young horse, Logan embraced the process. She spent countless hours practicing, learning, making mistakes, and growing alongside Stormy. There were plenty of weekends spent at the bottom of the standings, but she understood something many people don’t… this is that success isn’t built overnight.
What makes Logan’s story even more remarkable is that she has persevered through a broken wrist, a broken ankle, and five broken vertebrae in her back. Most people would have found reasons to quit. Logan found reasons to keep going.
Today, the results are starting to show, but they didn’t come from luck. They came from grit, patience, determination, and an unwavering love for the sport. Stormy has only been running barrels and poles for a little over a year, and the future is incredibly bright for this team.
Every run, every win, and every accomplishment is well earned. Logan is proof that the riders who work the hardest behind the scenes are often the ones who shine the brightest when their moment finally comes.
