Chloe Tesser and Kylie Weeks each picked up two wins as the LeTourneau women's tennis team completed its competition portion of the fall season at the ITA Southwest Regional tournament over the weekend in Abilene.

Way to GO Pine Tree Tennis! Final district match came down to the wire as we were tied with Kilgore 8 all. Three matches were left…Eisley got point number nine winning her singles. Levi’s match went to a tie breaker and he won the tenth point and Isaiah sealed the deal with #11. 11-8 was the final score and should seal our third place finish with a score of 3-2 in the district. The girls did amazing tonight with all three doubles winning and five of six singles matches won. The boys had one doubles win and two singles. Proud of them all for a great season, now to playoffs! District match against Spring Hill tonight. We came up short 8-10 but admired the grit and determination of these athletes who played some hard, tough matches. Congrats to those who won. A shoutout to Elizabeth and Clara who battled in the heat for two hours plus and just came up short in their tie breaker doubles match and had to turn around and play singles right after. Natalie won her singles match that went to a tie breaker. Caleb, Elmer, Nolan, Arliss and Elizabeth won their singles. Caleb and Nolan and Elmer and Natalie won their doubles. Next Monday will be their final district match against Kilgore. Playoffs will follow in October.

Kudos to Elmer M. who was the solo winner of his singles match tonight for Pine Tree. Bullard was a tough opponent but several players were close and at least one doubles match went to a tie breaker. Proud of all the players and the effort they put forth.
