Happy National Coaches Day to these men!

I’m blessed to have good men around me who pour into our athletes, challenge them, encourage them, and help make them better every single day. Coaching is bigger than wins and losses it’s about the relationships, the lessons, the discipline, and the impact we have on these young men.

I appreciate each of you for your time, your sacrifice, and your commitment to our kids. It takes a team to build a program, and I’m thankful to have these men in the trenches with me.

A little Coaches vs. Kids basketball battle today in Pre-Athletics 😂

The kids came ready to hoop… coaches came ready to compete… but somewhere around game 2, the coaches started running out of gas

🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️PINE TREE ALUMNI GAME RECAP 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

It was a great night of basketball as two generations of Pine Tree Pirates battled it out, but in the end, there could only be one winner.

Class of 1998–2012, coached by Frank Richards, defeated the Class of 2013–2025, 75–62, in a competitive alumni matchup Saturday evening.

Terrance Sparkman (Class of 2009) came out blazing for his team , scoring 13 of his 24 points in the first quarter to set the tone early.

2013-25 answered behind a strong performance from Dalvin Manns, who kept his team within striking distance while leading all scorers with 21 points.

But the veteran squad had too much firepower down the stretch. John Briscoe (Class of 2011) and Jamarcus Peters (Class of 2009) combined for 46 points, providing the offensive punch needed to secure the 75–62 victory.

A great night of basketball, competition, and Pirate pride. Most importantly, it was a chance to bring former players back home and celebrate the tradition of Pine Tree Basketball.

Final: Class of 1998–2012 — 75
Class of 2013–2025 — 62
