We don’t do Halloween, so when she said she wanted to go to a “fancy restaurant,” I made the reservation. Then she said, “I want them to open my door.” Welp… there it is. 😂 Some call it spoiled… I call it expanding her palette and showing her that the world is bigger than what she’s already seen♥️

You went to build a man university and mad that he graduated. Now you’re left handing out diplomas instead of attending a university where you could graduate into becoming the best version of yourself!

You spent so much time developing him that you delayed your own graduation.

I don’t want a little dump truck… I want a whole Clydesdale. I go to the gym daily not just because my goals but because maintaining something REQUIRES CONTINUED EFFORT💪🏾‼️

Everybody in your circle doesn’t have to act exactly like you but the people you keep close show what you’re comfortable around, what you tolerate and what you’re feeding yourself every day. If everybody around you gossiping and not building nothing, eventually that energy becomes your normal.

If your circle is creating, working, praying, taking accountability and actually doing something with their life, that becomes normal too.

And sometimes your circle reflects who you used to be, which is why it starts feeling uncomfortable when you grow. You’re changing but everybody around you still expects access to the old version of you. That’s when you realize everybody who knows you cannot keep going with you.

You can talk about the pain, what it taught you and how you made it through without giving everybody every name, every detail and every part of your personal life. You can tell your story and still have parts of you that belong only to you.
