Today was all about the moms! 💚🥎

We started the day off with a big surprise — customized headbands with each player’s mom’s name on them! But it got even better… we handed the lineup cards over and let the moms coach the pool play games! 🤣 The girls loved it, the moms had a blast, and memories were definitely made. I’m sure we’ll be hearing for a long time about the “undefeated mom coaching staff!”

The Colts showed up and took care of business today, going 4-0 and bringing home the Gold Bracket Championship! 🏆

Thank you moms for everything you do for these girls and this team. We appreciate you more than you know! 💚

Thank you for being the loudest cheering section, master scheduler, driving to countless practices, packing all the snacks, the uniform cleaner, and the biggest support system behind every player! Not only is Sadie a phenomenal softball player, she’s also a very intelligent student! She was recognized for her outstanding achievements by winning not only the school and county science fairs, but also placing first in the state science fair in multiple categories!

Carolina Colts girls had an unforgettable experience tonight at West Stanly High School! So many of these girls are future Colts, and tonight just made that even more exciting.

A huge THANK YOU to Head Coach Emily Smith for always welcoming our girls and making them feel like part of the program. The Varsity players were incredible—taking the field with our girls during the national anthem, then sticking around after the game for pictures and autographs.

Nothing but class from the entire West Stanly softball program. We truly appreciate the time, effort, and example you set for the next generation!

Locked in.

These girls were 100% locked in every game, every pitch, all weekend long.

After a disappointing finish last weekend in 8U—where our focus just wasn’t there—we learned from it. We locked in at practice, and we locked in during games. And it showed.

This group stepped up and played in the 10U division this weekend. Our goal this spring is simple: compete, learn, and prove we belong. This weekend, they did more than that—they proved they can compete with anyone.

After going 2-0 in pool play, we earned the #3 seed in the Gold bracket. Facing a team that’s had our number for the past year, these girls came out and played their best game of the day—grinding out a hard-fought 8-7 win to move to 3-0 and punch a ticket to the Gold Championship.

In the championship, we battled a strong Carolina Hurricanes team for three solid innings. Tied 1-1 in the third, their bats got hot and we couldn’t quite match it—but the fight was there.

And that’s what matters.

Pitching was 🔥
Baserunning was 🔥
And the hitting is coming around.

These girls keep raising the standard every single week—and I couldn’t be more proud of this team and how far they’ve come.
