Just wanted to come on here and say that this racing season has taught us a lot, but one of the biggest things I’ve taken away is the importance of sportsmanship.

It’s incredible to watch a community of drivers come together and rally around causes that mean so much, whether it’s the Mackenzie Race, breast cancer awareness, or supporting families in our own community. That’s what racing should be about.

My car has battled me with mechanical issues pretty much all season, but that’s racing. Sometimes you have a great night, and sometimes you don’t even make it a lap. At the end of the day, this is a hobby and something we do because we love it.

I also think it’s important to remember that the kids at the track are watching us. I have a son at home who is my whole world, and I want him to grow up seeing that you can compete, be frustrated, and still treat the people around you with respect. There are so many young kids at the track looking up to the drivers, and demonstrating good sportsmanship is something I think we all have a responsibility to show them.

There are real people behind these cars, and for a lot of us, this is simply about having fun, making memories, supporting our community, and enjoying something we love.

Keep the sportsmanship, keep supporting one another, and remember that at the end of the day, we’re all here because we love racing. That’s what it’s all about.

Friday marked our first night back at the track since Kayce was born, and it made the night even more special having our favorite little visitor in the pits cheering me on. šŸ’™

After taking a month off, we got the car back together with a new front axle and were happy to finish the feature. We’ve got a few minor adjustments to make and an overheating issue to sort out, but overall it was a great first night back. Looking forward to building on it and racing next week!

We knew this day would come. While we’ve had a great first couple weeks of the season, it’s time to hang up the helmet as we prepare to welcome our son into the world any day now.

This season tested us in more ways than one. Between multiple motor swaps, late nights in the garage, and more drama than anyone should have to deal with at the racetrack, it wasn’t always easy.

Looking back, I’m proud of everything we accomplished in our first year. No amount of drama can take away the lessons we learned or the memories we made.

As much as I love racing, nothing compares to what’s next. Any day now, I’ll be taking on the most important role of my life - becoming a first-time dad. There isn’t a trophy or feature win that means more to me than finally meeting my son.

Thank you to everyone who supported us through the highs, the lows, and everything in between. We’ll be back. For now, it’s time to trade the helmet for diapers. šŸ§”šŸ
