Coach Robinson and Coach Powell took 40 Academy Middle School Tennis players to Burnet today for a practice match.

We got some good play in and then had a good little shower and a lightning delay. But we got the courts dried and got to get some more matches in before it started raining again and we had to call it about 7:45.

We’re sad we didn’t get to play all the matches we wanted, but just watching the progress, growth, and confidence these athletes gained in the one or two matches they did get to play is amazing!

We are looking forward to watching these kids continue their successes in tennis.

Today was District for JV Tennis also!

C**t Villarreal and Emma Young take 2nd 🥈 in Mixed Doubles.

Jasline Rodriguez and Jayleigh Westphal take 3rd 🥉 in girls doubles.

Oakley Krcha and Hailey Howard came in 4th in Girls Doubles behind the other Academy team.

Proud of how these kids played today!

I am so proud of these kids! They came to Franklin for District and 3 divisions are punched their ticket to Regionals in College Station on April 20-21.

Kolton Schreier and Shaelyn Goode take 1st 🥇 in Mixed advancing to Regionals.

Nick Hammonds and Davis Fossett take 2nd 🥈 in Boys Doubles advancing to Regionals.

Brielle Andrews and Kinsley Garmon take 2nd 🥈 in Girls Doubles advancing to Regionals.

Avry Hoffman and Ella Golovin take 3rd 🥉 in Mixed.

Novaleigh King takes 3rd 🥉 in Girls Singles.

Amy Wallar and Hannah Lawler came in 4th in Girls Doubles.

A special shout out to all of our Seniors for a fantastic season in tennis! It’s been fun, but we’re not done yet!

Sometimes I think the seriousness of even making it to state is often overlooked. Shae literally does it all…….and excels in all. Very proud of her.
