DeKalb Yellow Jackets Youth Football & Cheer Association The Dekalb Yellow Jackets, DYJ, Football Association provides structured sports activity to over three hundred boys and girls in the South Dekalb community.

Through the teaching of football and cheerleading fundamentals, the all volunteer coaches aspire to instill:
1. Discipline and self-esteem in the players and cheerleaders with special emphasis on academic excellence and self worth.
2. Cooperative learning through teamwork.
3. Ability to make prudent choices and show respect for one another and authority.

General information

Although Dekalb County provides the facility for the football program, it does not provide any financial support. The registration fees are kept at a modest level to allow all interested boys and girls to participate regardless of their parent’s income.
