Praise the Lord. We took a couple hours before prayer meeting and slipped down to the river. As the flood waters subsided we found some calm waters and did a little carp fishing. For some reason or another every-time we targeted carp the conditions never seemed right. Or we were too busy pursuing other species. Well after a few years he caught his first carp. A great lesson in patience and the smiles say it all.

Yep she even baited her own hook. It was a quick bite then the cold front shut the bite down. We had a great time. We were able to discuss today’s messages from church and how the apply to our lives.

Had a great time taking some of our church kids catfishing last night. There was nothing biting but they did manage to wrangle up a bullfrog.

Here's a tract. Copy and paste into a word document and edit as you like. Print it out in landscape, fold lengthwise down the middle, then fold in thirds. The tail print should be your outside cover. The bad news: We are all sinners and condemned before a righteous God.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

The Good News:
"But the good news is that God has done something about it. “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Jesus Christ the Creator, though totally sinless, suffered, on behalf of mankind, the penalty of mankind’s sin, which is death and separation from God. He did this to satisfy the righteous demands of the holiness and justice of God, His Father. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice; He died on a cross, but on the third day, He rose again, conquering death, so that all who truly believe in Him, repent of their sin, and trust in Him (rather than their own merit) are able to come back to God and live for eternity with their Creator". -(Answers in Genesis)

Ephesians 2:8-10
