A day I hope these athletes will never forget. As coaches, we want our athletes to compete as hard as they possibly can and these Dragons did just that. It was a grueling day that we probably learned as much or more than we actually performed. But the wheels are in motion and plans are being made for next track season as we speak.
Two of our seniors were 2 of our bright spots for the day. Quintavius Rogers finished 6th in the 110H and Zayden Barkley also finished 6th in Triple Jump. Those guys finished their career on a high note. Another hi-light was running into one of the greats that walked the halls of PHS, Pedro Holiday who holds multiple school records. Our kids were pumped to meet him!
Thank you to the parents that brought food and supplies for our athletes. Dragon country would be proud of the way our athletes competed and by the way their manners were on display. 2026 out 2027, look out!!

What a way to respond after the worst track meet of the year. The 2026 sectional meet brought out the best in the Pepperell Dragons Track team. Both the girls and the boys have their best efforts and competed in a way that would make this school proud.
Every boy relay team qualified to compete at the state meet next Tuesday at UGA. We had multiple medal winners in individual and relay events and broke a school record (again the 4x200).
✨Zayden Barkley qualified to compete at the state meet in 4 events with his top finish being 🥉place in the triple jump. He was also on the school record setting 4x200 team with a time of 1:32.88.
✨Antonio Barton also qualified in 4 events. His top finish was 🥇place in the 400. Antonio was also apart of the 4x200/4x400/4x800 relay teams.
✨Quintavious Rogers had a 🥉 in the 110 Hurdles and qualified in the 100m.
✨Ray Wilburn was on the 4x100 & 4x200 teams
✨Zier Williams was also on the 4x100 & 4x200
✨Zion Small was on the 4x400 & 4x800 teams
✨Carson Crabtree was on the 4x400 & 4x800
✨Blayze McCary was on the 4x100 team
✨Dominic Carlini was on the 4x800 relay team
✨Stephen Sapp finished 4th in Shot Pot

Last week’s Atrium Health Floyd Male Athlete of the week at Pepperell High School is Ryder Hogancamp with Pepperell Track & Field.

Ryder is a fast rising freshman. His results on the track are evident of this. Ryder has decreased his 800m time to 2:09 and is a part of multiple relay teams for the Dragons. Ryder is an extremely hard worker and has shown how dedicated to this sport by the way he practices day in and day out.

Last week’s Atrium Health Floyd Female Athlete of the week at Pepperell High School is Alyssa Smith with Pepperell Track & Field.

Alyssa has had an impressive couple of weeks. She has worked really hard in the Triple Jump and hit 33 feet in the last meet. She is extremely talented but what is most impressive is that her work ethic matches her athletic ability.
