A HUGE congratulations to our #1 - Audrey Long in representing Like A Girl Fastpitch like a BOSS out playing on the field for an ALL STAR team with Top Gun USA in Myrtle Beach! Her team went UNDEFEATED (5-0) this weekend and brought home the championship 🙌

Saturday was LONG and HOT but our girls showed up and showed out against some bigger 14U teams before those teams move on next week to a new age bracket.

Can’t wait to get back on the field in a couple of weeks and see what we have grown and improved on.

TOURNAMENT WEEKEND! 💜🥎

It’s time to get back on the field!

The Like A Girl Fastpitch 14U girls are ready for another weekend of competition, and we’d love to have our families, friends, and supporters come out and cheer them on.

We’ve been seeing so much growth in these girls, and every opportunity to compete is another chance to build confidence, experience, and trust in each other.

Today wasn’t about the scoreboard. It was about the challenge. It was about growth. It was about finding out where we are and continuing to build. 💜🥎
There is a significant difference in experience and development between a true 14U team and teams that are already playing at a 16U level. Today, both teams we faced were 16U teams, or teams with players moving into 16U within the next 30 days.
And that’s exactly why we made the decision to move Like A Girl Fastpitch to 14U early.
We knew there would be days like today. We knew we would face older, stronger, more experienced teams. We knew there would be moments when the bats wouldn't come alive and the scoreboard wouldn't go our way.
But we also knew that our girls would grow from being challenged.
We only got to play two of our four guaranteed games before rain canceled the rest of the tournament, but those two games gave us plenty to take away.
Our pitchers stepped up. Our defense competed. As the games went on, we started seeing signs of life at the plate. Most importantly, our girls kept fighting, kept encouraging each other, and never stopped competing.
We didn't win in points today.
But maybe we won something more important.
We gained experience.
We gained confidence.
We saw where we need to grow.
And we got a little better because we were willing to challenge ourselves against teams that were ahead of us in experience and development.
That's the part I'm proud of.
We're not building this team around winning the easiest games we can find. We're building girls who are willing to step on the field, face a challenge, learn from it, and come back ready to get better.
I'm still incredibly happy with the growth I'm seeing in these girls.
The wins will come.
The bats will come.
The experience will come.
And when it all comes together, these girls are going to be ready.
Proud of this team. Proud of their fight. Proud of their growth. Proud to be building this together. 💜

🏆 Tournament Weekend is Here! 🥎💜
It's finally game week, and we're ready to hit the field!
The Like A Girl Fastpitch 14U team opens tournament play this Saturday at Stanford Park in Hickory, and we'd love to see our families, friends, and supporters in the stands.

🥎 Game 2 🕥 10:15 AM 🆚 Legacy 14U Cook
📍 Stanford Park 1451 8th St Dr NE Hickory, NC 28601
Our team will arrive at 7:30 AM, with warmups beginning at 7:45 AM on Field 1.
These girls have been putting in the work all summer, and they're excited for another opportunity to compete together. Thank you to our families, sponsors, and everyone who continues to support this team and believe in what we're building.
