A good night of softball for some of our KORE girls last night.

Lauren, Regan and Leah’s Southwest Silverhawks faced off against Shea and her Norris Titans in a well fought double header where Southwest pulled off a comeback walk-off victory in game 1 and then nearly did it again in game 2 but ended in a tie. All 4 girls played very well and caught up for a picture afterwards. It was nice to go and watch in person, but I certainly prefer coaching more than watching! Great games girls, keep fighting hard!

Natalie D and her Freeman Falcons had 2 hard fought games yesterday coming out on top against Guardian Angels Central Catholic and then dropping a 9 inning battle against Ashland-Greenwood. Keep up the good work Nat!

Kirsten and her Pius Thunderbolts traveled to Grand Island to face off against the Islanders where Kirsten got her first Varsity start in the field after coming back from some shoulder pain that kept her sidelined for the start of the season. The Bolts pulled off a 16-3 victory where Kirsten went 2-3 with 2 doubles and 4 RBIs and a walk. Great job and keep pushing!

Talk about having a day at the plate! Avery Brown finally got back on the field after recovering from a concussion and absolutely EXPLODED at the plate! 3-3 with 8 RBIs and 2, count them 2 home runs! A 3 run shot to start the night off then finished with a GRAND SLAM! Great work Avery! Keep up the hard work! We’re all proud of you!

A great opening night for our girls that played tonight!

Lauren, Leah and Regan had dominant double header wins against the Kearney JV squad in Kearney winning 11-1 and 13-2! All 3 girls contributed greatly providing valuable run support and great defense for their team! Great job girls!

Avery Brown’s Standing Bear Grizzly JV squad took down Grand Island 11-0 while she is still fully recovering from a concussion suffered at practice. We know she is chomping at the bit to get back to the field!

Shea’s Norris JV squad fell to Gretna 6-2 in a hard fought game where Shea took a walk and scored a run! Keep fighting hard!

Rylee’s Gretna East JV team took down Elkhorn’s team 7-0.

Natalie Dean’s Freeman Varsity Falcons went to extra innings against Fairbury where they took the win 20-15!! Natalie was 3-6 with 3 RBI’s!! Great opening night!

Kirsten’s Pius X Varsity faced off against Beatrice where they fought until the end but came up short 12-9. Kirsten hit her first Varsity home run in the top of the 5th inning giving them the 8-7 lead with the 2 run shot! Huge congratulations to Kirsten’s first of many Varsity home runs! Great job!

I am pleased to introduce everyone to Regan Wattjes — #55!

Regan had an incredible 2026 season with us and is looking to make an even bigger impact during our 2027 campaign!

Regan joined us near the middle of the 2026 season and immediately stepped in and made her presence felt. She quickly became a major contributor to our success throughout the second half of the season and played a huge role in our USA Class B State Championship win. In one of the biggest moments of the season, Regan came through with a clutch 2-run home run in the championship game to help bring us back into the game. She finished the tournament hitting an incredible .500!

Offensively, Regan was one of our biggest weapons throughout the season, hitting an outstanding .489 over 109 plate appearances. She collected 8 doubles, 3 triples, and a home run, while also stealing 15 bases. Her ability to combine power and speed makes her an extremely dangerous weapon in our lineup and gives us another player who can change the game in multiple ways.

Defensively, Regan was a mainstay between catcher and center field, giving us valuable versatility. Behind the plate, she caught 95 innings and threw out 3 runners, while in the field she recorded 119 putouts in 122 chances. Her combination of arm strength and speed makes her a weapon defensively whether she's behind the plate throwing out runners trying to steal or in the outfield making plays and throwing runners out trying to take an extra base.

Beyond the stats, what we appreciate most about Regan is the attitude and drive she brings to our team. She has a tremendous desire to improve herself while also pushing her teammates to get better. She understands that when everyone works toward the same goal and pushes each other to improve, the entire team becomes better.

We are super excited to have Regan back with us for the 2027 season and can't wait to see what she can accomplish! After the impact she made in such a short amount of time in 2026, we are excited to see what a full season with the team can look like for her!

I am excited to introduce everyone to Natelie Bornemeier — #27!

Natelie is another new addition to KORE for the 2027 season, and we are extremely excited to have her join the team and make an immediate impact!

Natelie brings valuable experience from competing against high-level competition throughout the 2026 season, and she will look to bring that experience with her into 2027. Natelie actually joined us for a few tournaments during the 2026 season and immediately stepped in and contributed to our success at both the Winter Warm Up Tournament and USSSA Midwest Nationals in Des Moines. We can't thank her enough for stepping up and helping our team during those tournaments!

Offensively, Natelie hit .211 over 126 plate appearances across 64 games, collecting 6 doubles and 2 triples. While those numbers don't tell the entire story of what Natelie brings to the lineup, one of her biggest weapons is her speed and high softball IQ on the bases. When Natelie gets on base, she has the ability to put tremendous pressure on the defense and create opportunities for herself and her teammates.

Defensively, Natelie is another incredibly versatile player who can wear a lot of hats for us. She brings experience as a pitcher and second baseman, while also having the speed and steady glove to contribute in the outfield. In 2026, Natelie pitched 59 innings and recorded 36 strikeouts, while defensively recording 44 putouts and 27 assists in 79 chances.

What we are most excited about with Natelie is the combination of her high softball IQ, dangerous speed, and versatility. But just as importantly, she is the type of teammate who is willing to pick her teammates up when they're struggling and do whatever she can to help the team succeed. That kind of team-first mentality is exactly what we want in a KORE player!

We are super excited to welcome Natelie to the team for the 2027 season and can't wait to see what she can accomplish in a KORE uniform! We're proud to have her representing KORE and know she is going to be a great addition to our team and our family!

I am excited to introduce everyone to Rylee Johnson — #26!

Rylee is another newcomer to the team for the 2027 season, and we are extremely excited to have her join the team and help us continue building toward a successful 2027 campaign!

In 2026, Rylee spent much of the season competing against older and more experienced teams at a high level, giving her valuable experience that she will bring with her. That experience will be a huge asset as she continues to grow and develop as a player.

Offensively, Rylee hit .214 over 70 at-bats, collecting 7 doubles and a home run, while driving in 19 runs and stealing 3 bases. Rylee brings a great combination of power and speed to the lineup and will look to use both to help increase our offensive production and create opportunities for her teammates.

Defensively, Rylee truly showed what it means to be a utility player in 2026. She spent time behind the plate as well as at 1B, 2B, and in the outfield, giving her experience all over the field and the ability to fill whatever role the team needs. Behind the plate, Rylee caught 72 innings and threw out 3 of 23 attempted base stealers.

That versatility and willingness to play wherever she is needed will be a huge asset for us in 2027. Rylee has already shown that she isn't afraid of a challenge, and we are excited to see how much she can continue to grow with us.

We are super excited to welcome Rylee to the team for the 2027 season and can't wait to see what she can accomplish in a KORE uniform! We're proud to have her representing KORE and know she is going to be a great addition to our team and our family!

I am excited to introduce everyone to Leah Paprocki — #24!

Leah is another new addition to the team for the 2027 season, and we are extremely excited to have her join our team and make an immediate impact!

In 2026, Leah battled through injuries for much of the club season, making it difficult for her to find a consistent rhythm. Despite those challenges, she still put together a solid season, hitting .293 over 88 plate appearances while collecting 2 triples, 2 doubles, and 18 singles and driving in 20 runs.

Leah also showed just how much potential she has during her freshman high school season, where she hit an impressive .489 over 47 at-bats. As she heads into 2027 healthy and ready to go, we are excited to see her get back into her natural rhythm and bring that offensive ability to our lineup. We believe she can be a valuable source of run production and offensive support for our team.

Defensively, Leah will provide us with valuable depth at third base and first base. She brings a sure-handed glove to both positions and will look to help us make the routine plays while keeping runners from taking extra bases.

What makes Leah an exciting addition to our team is her work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team succeed. She is not afraid to put in the work, and we know that mentality will make her a great fit within our KORE family.

We are super excited to welcome Leah to the team for the 2027 season and can't wait to see what she can accomplish in a KORE uniform! We're proud to have her representing KORE and are looking forward to watching her get healthy, find her rhythm, and show everyone what she can do!

I am excited to introduce everyone to Shyanne Leggett — #22!

Shyanne had a great 2026 season with us and will be looking to take another step forward during our 2027 campaign. One of the things that made Shyanne so valuable to our team was her versatility and willingness to do whatever was needed to help us succeed.

Offensively, Shyanne hit .208 over 149 plate appearances, collecting 5 doubles and a triple. But her impact at the plate went far beyond her batting average. Shyanne became a valuable weapon for us when it came to laying down bunts, moving runners, and creating scoring opportunities. She was willing to sacrifice her own opportunity to get on base if it meant putting a teammate in a better position to score.

When Shyanne did get on base, she was an absolute menace to the opposing team. Her speed put constant pressure on opposing defenses, and she finished the season an incredible 28-for-29 on stolen bases!

Defensively, Shyanne was another one of our versatile players, seeing time at catcher, third base, shortstop, and primarily second base. Across those positions, she recorded 97 putouts and helped turn 4 double plays. She even had one game where she recorded an incredible 8 outs in a single game!

What really stands out about Shyanne, though, is her selflessness and team-first mentality. Her willingness to sacrifice at the plate, use her speed to create opportunities, and play wherever she was needed made a huge impact on our team's success. Combine that with her drive and determination to continually improve, and it's easy to see why Shyanne is such a valuable part of our team.

We are super excited to have Shyanne back with us for the 2027 season and can't wait to see what she can accomplish this year! We know she's going to continue working, competing, and finding ways to help this team succeed. We're proud to have her representing KORE!

I am excited to introduce everyone to Avery Davison — #21!

Avery is a new addition to the team for the 2027 season, and we are extremely excited to have her join the team and make an immediate impact!

Avery brings valuable experience playing at the 16U level, along with a high softball IQ and some serious speed on the bases. In 2026, Avery collected 11 stolen bases, showing how much of a weapon she can be when she gets on base!

Offensively, Avery hit .303 over 75 plate appearances, collecting 17 singles, 2 doubles, and a triple while driving in 13 runs. Her ability to put pressure on the defense with her speed and find ways to contribute offensively will give us another exciting weapon in our lineup.

Defensively, Avery gives us tremendous versatility in the infield, with the ability to play third base, shortstop, and second base, while also serving as the field general behind the plate. Having a player who can confidently fill multiple positions will be a huge asset for us throughout the season.

What makes Avery such a great addition to our team is her grit, determination, and willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team win. She is not afraid to put in the work to improve, and her softball IQ allows her to understand what the team needs from her in any given situation. That team-first mentality is exactly what we want in a KORE player!

We are super excited to welcome Avery to the team for the 2027 season and can't wait to see what she can accomplish in a KORE uniform! We're proud to have her representing KORE, and we know she's going to be a fantastic addition to our family!

I am excited to introduce everyone to Avery Brown — #17!

Avery is a new addition to the team for the 2027 season, and we are extremely excited to have her join the team and make an immediate impact!

Avery had an incredible 2026 season with her previous team, putting together an astonishing .648 batting average over 64 plate appearances, while collecting 14 doubles and 2 home runs! She has continued that hot streak into her high school career as well, recently adding another home run during the Freshman State Tournament for Lincoln Standing Bear.

Avery will bring some serious power and run production to our lineup in 2027, and we can't wait to see what she can do against the competition we will face this season.

Defensively, Avery gives us valuable versatility and depth at catcher and first base. She brings a sure glove to both positions and will look to make her presence felt behind the plate by keeping opposing runners from taking extra bases.

More importantly, Avery is a hard-working and dedicated player who isn't afraid to put in the work necessary to accomplish both her individual goals and the goals of the team. That kind of work ethic is exactly what we want in a KORE player.
