Horses have a way of bringing the right people together and strengthening friendships. 🤎

Ellie and Caroline are two friends who recently joined us for our very first HALO Horsemanship Camp. You can often find them at the barn together taking group lessons, dreaming about all things horses, and making the most of every moment they spend at the barn.

One of our favorite parts of HALO isn’t just watching our students learn—it’s watching them laugh, encourage one another, and create memories that will last long after the lesson ends.

At HALO, we believe some of the most meaningful lessons happen between rides. The friendships built at the barn often last just as long as the skills learned in the saddle.

Thank you, Ellie and Caroline, for being part of our very first HALO Horsemanship Camp. We hope it’s the first of many camps, lessons, and barn adventures together. We can’t wait to see you both back at the barn! 🤎

One of the most important lessons horses teach us has nothing to do with riding.

Before we ever ask a horse to carry us, we should learn how to care for them.

Horsemanship begins in the quiet moments—catching your horse, grooming with intention, picking out feet, noticing if something feels different, and taking the time to simply be with them.

A horse doesn’t know if you’ve won ribbons or mastered a new skill.

They know whether you’re patient.
They know whether you’re kind.
They know whether they can trust you.

At HALO, we believe great riders become great horsemen and horsewomen first.

We had a great first HALO Horsemanship Camp yesterday! Our students showed up and showed out when it came to all the learning we did. They all deserve a big congratulations on earning their first HALO 🤍 We look forward to their continued example and embodiment of Horsemanship, Attitude, Leadership and Opportunity.

Second show of the season and this crew showed up ready. 🤍🐎

From the first trip through the gate to the last round of the day, every single rider stepped up—riding with focus, grit, and so much heart. The growth from show one to now didn’t just happen… it was built in early mornings, long rides, tough lessons, and choosing to keep going even when it’s hard.

Clear rounds, confident rides, big improvements, and yes some well earned ribbons. But what mattered most was the progress. The kind you can’t always hang on a stall door.

So proud of this team, these horses, and the partnerships they’re building. This is only the beginning of the season, and if yesterday was any indication… it’s going to be a special one.

This weekend was one of those shows that reminds me exactly why I do this 🤍

I am so incredibly proud of all my students. The work they’ve been putting in at home showed up in the arena in the best way. It’s not just about ribbons—it’s the growth, the confidence, the little wins that people don’t always see. And this weekend, I saw all of it.

You guys rode with heart, handled the ups and downs, and kept showing up!

I also couldn’t do any of this without the people behind the scenes. Thank you to everyone who stepped in to help, groom, clean, support, cheer, hold horses, fix things, take pictures and videos, —you know who you are and I appreciate you more than I can put into words. Shows can’t happen without a team!

It truly takes a village, and I’m so lucky to have this one 🐴✨
