The Guardian is a completely mobile training simulator able to recreate hundreds of scenarios that first responders are likely to encounter. Built to realistically recreate the inside of a three-story building with the third floor collapsed into the second fl
oor and the second floor pancaked into the first level, rescue teams find themselves having to crawl through narrow rubble-clogged, smoke-filled passageways no higher than an office desk. Acting as a team, rescuers develop the necessary skills for stabilizing the environment by shoring up flooring, removing debris, breaking through concrete and cutting rebar in an effort to rescue a trapped victim. In addition to collapsed-building rescue scenarios, the unit can accommodate other training regimens with the addition of a railcar tanker dome module, window rescue kit, sewer-line rescue apparatus, as well as an earthquake aftershock simulator. The unit has been designed to meet the needs of FEMA Urban Search & Rescue operations, HAZMAT training, terrorist task forces, Federal law enforcement, emergency medical service providers and fire companies. Additionally, the Guardian has been developed for numerous specialized training such as HAZMAT, SCBA certification, RIT and stabilization (cribbing) training, among others.
