Everyone is talking about Five-for-Five. 👀

But while that conversation is consuming everyone, something much bigger is moving through the United States Senate that almost nobody in recruiting is talking about. 🏛️

Nick Saban testified before Congress last week. So did the Notre Dame AD. A university president. A college athlete.

Nearly three hours of testimony.

And most recruiting families have no idea what came out of that room. 🚨

I break it all down in my newest video. No opinions. No politics. Just what it means for your family.

Everyone is talking about Five-for-Five. 👀

Who turns 19 before graduation. Who turns 19 after. What about the kid who redshirted. What about international athletes.

Valid questions. All of them.

But while everyone is locked in on that conversation, something much bigger is moving through the United States Senate that almost nobody in the recruiting world is talking about. 🏛️

It is called the Protect College Sports Act of 2026.

Nick Saban testified before Congress about it last week. So did the Notre Dame Athletic Director. A university president. A college athlete. Nearly three hours of testimony.

And I will bet you have not heard most of what came out of that room. 🚨

I break it all down in plain language in my newest video. No opinions. No politics. Just what it means for your family and what you should be doing right now.

🏛️ While everyone is talking about Five-for-Five, this is hiding in plain sight.

Everyone wants to know who gets five years. When does the eligibility clock start. What happens if your athlete turns 19 before graduation.

Those questions matter. But right now there is something much bigger moving through Washington that almost nobody in the recruiting world is talking about.

It is called the Protect College Sports Act of 2026. 👀

Last week, Nick Saban testified before the United States Senate about this bill. So did the Notre Dame Athletic Director. A university president. A conference commissioner. A current college athlete.

Saban called it a race to the bottom.

He warned that if nothing changes, women's sports, Olympic sports, and scholarships disappear.

And here is what most families are completely missing right now. 🚨

This is NOT just a Division I story.

This bill directly affects transfers, NIL, eligibility rules, and roster structures at every level, including Division II and Division III. The ripple effects hit your family whether your athlete is playing at Alabama or at a small school nobody outside your state has heard of.

I broke it all down in my newest video. Plain language. No politics. Just what it means for your family and what you should be doing right now.

🎥 Watch it here: https://youtu.be/xbwYUB9SqNo

And stay tuned later this week. Something else just dropped from the NCAA that every Division II and Division III family needs to hear. The Power Four schools just made a move that changes the landscape at those levels completely. More on that soon. 👇

Drop a ❤️ if you have a student athlete in your house right now navigating this process. Share this with a recruiting family who needs to see it.

Everyone is talking about Five-for-Five. 👀

But while that conversation is consuming everyone, a proposed federal law just moved through the United States Senate that could change EVERYTHING your family needs to know about recruiting.

Transfers. NIL. Eligibility. Roster rules. All of it. 🏛️

Nick Saban testified before Congress and called it a race to the bottom.

The Notre Dame AD called it an educational initiative in crisis.

🎥 I see a lot of comments that say:

"Coach, you never answered the question."

The truth is many of the videos you see here are short clips from much longer videos on YouTube.

So I wanted to take a minute to explain who I am, why I make these videos, and why I'm passionate about helping families navigate the recruiting process.

They are burning time without competing. 🚨

The window does not wait for you. It only waits until the beginning of the academic year following their 19th birthday. Once that semester arrives, the clock is running. ⏰

The vote has not happened yet. The Cabinet is scheduled for June 23rd and 24th. This is still a proposal, but families planning right now need to understand what is coming.

If you have a freshman or sophomore in high school, this is the world they are most likely entering. 👀

The redshirt as you have known it is going away. The hardship waiver is going away. What replaces it is a cleaner five years of competition inside a five-year window.

As this develops I will post immediately. My job is to make sure you are never behind on something that directly affects your athlete's future. 🎯

Understanding the rules is exactly how families protect their athletes.

The NCAA just changed the eligibility clock. 🚨

The Cabinet removed high school graduation as a trigger entirely.

The clock now starts when your athlete enrolls full time in college or at the beginning of the academic year following their 19th birthday, whichever comes first. ⏰

Here is why it changed.

The hockey world went to war. Every NCAA men's hockey conference commissioner signed a letter objecting to the old model. The commissioners of the USHL and NAHL signed it too. Then NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman got involved. 👀

Their argument was simple. Hockey players spend one or two years in junior leagues before enrolling. Under the old model their clock was already running before they ever set foot on a campus.

The NCAA listened. 🎯

What does this actually mean for your family? 👇

A gap year or post-grad prep year no longer automatically costs your athlete eligibility. 🚨

Under the old proposal, your athlete graduates at 18, takes a gap year, and the clock was already running that fall semester after graduation.

That just changed. ⏰

Under the new version, if your athlete graduates at 18 and spends a year at prep school or takes a gap year, the clock has not started. As long as they enroll full time before or at the beginning of the academic year following their 19th birthday, they are fine.

But the 19th birthday trigger is still there.

If your kid takes a gap year, turns 19 during that year, and then delays enrollment even further, the clock starts that fall semester whether they are on a campus or not.

The NCAA dropped new information on the age-based eligibility model yesterday after 5pm. 🚨

If you have been following this story, you need to hear what changed.

The original proposal said your athlete's clock would start the academic year following high school graduation or the academic year following their 19th birthday, whichever came first.

The NHL, NHL Players Association, and NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman all pushed back hard. Men's basketball stakeholders and the national service academies did too.

The NCAA listened. 👀

What does this mean for gap years? Prep school? Delayed enrollment?
