Hi PA Softball Community! I will be hosting two mini-clinics June 28th & 29th in Ligonier during the break in my Italian softball season. Session one will be for hitting and session two will be for defense.

The Hitting Clinic will include:
* Introduction to My Hitting Philosophy
* Movement Preparation for Hitters
* Hitting Drills for Power, Coordination, & Sequencing
* Fun & Competitive Learning Environment
* A Hitter's IQ & Staying Confident in the Box

The Defensive Clinic will include:
* Fundamentals of Fielding (Infield & Outfield)
* Fundamentals of Throwing
* Speed & Agility Drills
* Full Field Reps
* Softball IQ & Recovering from Errors

(College Recruiting Q&A to follow Defense Clinic on June 28th)

These clinics are open to athletes of all levels (i.e. travel ball, high school, rec, no experience, played wiffle ball once at a picnic, etc). Please register for a chance to broaden your softball experiences, improve your skillsets, and have some fun on the dirt.

Spots ARE limited, so be sure to register ASAP.

June 29th (12U & Under)

9:00AM-10:30AM (Hitting)

$30/athlete per session

This is Gaia. Gaia swings hard. Every. Single. Time. She fearlessly attacks the ball. Be like Gaia.

Gaia says hi to me (in English) every time I see her. She smiles a lot too..even more reason to be like Gaia.

I had a fun time coaching a very patient and hardworking group in Collecchio this morning 🇮🇹.

They worked out for an hour and followed it up with a hitting circuit. Every athlete made great adjustments throughout training. They took on the language barrier with me, but I like to think everyone got a little bit better today 📈 .

I'm excited to see how these athletes grow over the next two weeks! Thanks for letting me coach my extended softball family here in Italy 💚🤍❤.

Thursday Moves 🌊

■ KB Swings 3×12
■ Single Arm KB Rotating Row 3×12e

(If you haven't tried yoga push ups, you're missing out. One of my favorites)

Having trouble pairing movements? Here is a trick...

• Upper, Lower, Core & Repeat •

This has been the simplest tool I use to create workouts and learned it from one of my mentors. Have 3 different circuits of "Upper, Lower, Core" and you'll hit a lot of good stuff 💪

Remember: Keep moving. Keep it simple. Your body will thank you 😊

Here are some of my go-to verbal cues for fielding a ground ball...

"Butt back"
"Chest down"
"Left foot in front"
"Left toe up"
"Relax the wrist"
"Absorb & move through"

Master these and you're on your way to some clean fielding 👌
