A healthy workplace doesn’t happen by accident—it starts with intentional leadership.

As an Organizational Culture Consultant, I help organizations strengthen leadership, improve communication, build trust, and create cultures where people feel valued, engaged, and empowered to thrive.

When leaders grow, teams grow. When culture improves, performance follows.

If your organization is ready to build a stronger, healthier workplace, I’d love to help.

Most change initiatives don’t fail because the strategy was wrong.

They fail because people were never prepared for the change.

When leaders focus on processes but neglect communication, trust, and emotional readiness, resistance becomes inevitable.

Transformational leaders know that successful change isn’t just about implementing a new strategy.

It’s about preparing people to embrace it.

If your organization is navigating change, let’s talk about how to lead people through it—not just manage the process.

Turnover increases.

Communication breaks down.

Trust begins to erode.

Performance starts slipping.

Leaders often focus on the symptoms while the real issue remains hidden beneath the surface.

The question isn't whether there's a problem.

The question is whether you're looking in the right place.

From the NIYO art center to a basket shop tucked into Kigali, and I left both places thinking about leadership differently.

The agaseke, Rwanda’s peace basket, is woven by hand, often by women rebuilding trust across a divided history. After the genocide, survivors and the families of perpetrators sat down and wove together. Not because it was easy. Because someone had to go first.

That’s what 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 looks like up close. It’s not a title or a stage. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐰𝐚𝐲, 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.

Rwanda turned survival into something you can hold in your hands. That’s vision. That’s legacy.

Caught mid-listen, All-Africa Leadership Summit, Kigali 2026.

This photo is in black and white, and somehow that feels right. Strip away the color, the titles, the stage lights, and what’s left is the actual work of leadership: listening closely enough to ask the question that matters.

I sat on this panel talking governance and leadership, but where I live is underneath those words, in organizational culture. Governance is the structure. 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝. Transformational leadership isn’t a policy. It’s built in rooms like this one, in the questions we’re willing to ask each other out loud.

Grateful to have been in conversation with leaders shaping what’s next for this continent. The image is quiet. The conversation wasn’t.

I stood at the Kigali Genocide Memorial on my last day in the city, and there are no words that feel adequate. So I won’t try to make this about a lesson or a takeaway.

This is a place that holds over 250,000 lives. It exists so the world remembers what happened here in 1994, and so it never happens again, anywhere.

What I will say is this: Rwanda chose to remember out loud. Not to bury this history, but to build a nation on top of the truth of it. That takes a kind of courage I don’t have language for.

I’m grateful I got to stand there, in silence, and just listen.

Sat under chandeliers built for royalty, at a table set for the leaders of a continent. And the thought that stayed with me wasn’t about the room. It was this: the room only matters if you walk in already leading yourself.

No one hands you self-discipline at a summit. No one drapes purpose over your shoulders like satin. You bring that in with you, and the room just reflects it back.

Grateful to have shared space with people building Africa’s future. But the real summit is the one you hold with yourself before you ever walk in the door.

So I’ll ask you what I asked myself: 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦?

To the woman who dressed my confidence every single day in Kigali… this one’s for you, Nerice Nixons. 🇷🇼✨

From Day 1 to the Gala, you didn’t just style me, you covered me. In prayer, in purpose, in fabric that felt like a hug. You are proof that fierce and gentle can live in the same spirit. Humble enough to serve, bold enough to lead, organized enough to make magic look effortless.

Every outfit you put me in carried me through this trip with confidence, including the day I stepped onto the African Leadership University campus feeling like exactly who I am. That’s your gift. You don’t just dress the body, you dress the spirit.

Watching you move as designer, intercessor, businesswoman, and friend reminded me what it looks like when someone walks fully in their calling. You made me look like a million bucks, but more than that, you made me feel seen, covered, and celebrated.

Kigali gave me many gifts, but this friendship is one I’m keeping forever. Thank you for being exactly who you are. 💙
