The heat before he had to pull off

Last night David raced the Souther All Stars race at Thunder Hill and let’s just say nothing went right. He miss being locked in by one spot. Started pole in the heat and was leading with two to go when he had to pull of because of the over heating. Changed the radiator and the heating problem went away but ended up with a flat left front and didn’t get to make many laps. The car was good and we will just have to try again. We can’t think Joe enough for the opportunity to drive it means a lot. So on to the next one and hopefully left that dang bad luck monkey behind over there because we are sick of it being on our back this year.

A little bit different of a ride but a better outcome. As of about 12 today we got but into the seat of a capital race car for the first time. We had the privilege of wheeling the 27 owned Joe Denby car in limited at Thunder Hill. He qualified 3rd and finished 2nd. We can’t thank Joe enough for letting David wheel his hot rod. This is the last 2 laps of the feature

Our Deep Fried ended hot lapping with a hole in the oil pan. This is kinda the straw that broke the camels back. Let me give you a run down of David’s racing career. He started with junk and ran that for years. He finally got a good car and we had a limited motor than he was not afraid to take any where. We got our first big super motor in like 09 maybe and we still have it to this day but it made its last race last year when she finally let go can’t complain it was a good one. Then got hooked up with one of the best person anyone could ever asked for in 2010 and we raced like it was no end. He won 2 track championships in one year with the help of another guy that came on board with us. In 2018 in won plunger night of the toilet bowl and several races that year. 2019 he won the toilet bowl, the mars championship and the ump south championship. 2020 came and we had one of the best car owners anyone could ask for pass away and after that we was on our own again. Since then we haven’t raced a lot and the past two years has been a complete nightmare. With motors tearing up and just everything in general. I have watched his love for racing almost disappear. He works constantly during the week and he tries to do what he can but it’s just not the same anymore.

So if anyone has an open seat that wants a driver who will put it anywhere I know where you can find one.

About last night where to begin 🤔 the motor home went stupid lost the air conditioning, my trucks brake lights would turn off and it was hot as hell. As far as racing goes David went to qualify and blew a head gasket in staging qualifying 3rd with said head gasket being blown and started the race at the back and pulled in. Michael worked all week getting the Savage ready. He put a new body with his wrap and was ready to go racing. I have no clue where he qualified but when I pushed David off to the track I noticed he was just sitting here and when David pulled in he came in hot right behind him to find out that his gauges was reading all over the map and he didn’t want to tear the motor up. Gavin didn’t qualify great but was coming to the front and on a restart he had some switch lanes without a blinker and straight into one of his yellow friends he went. So it was not a good night for any of us but we live to see another day

18g Gavin Bush- started out in a front wheel drive but has graduated to 602 late model
