Behind every great team is a group of coaches willing to give their time, energy, patience, and heart to help these boys grow.

From practices and tournaments to countless lessons that go far beyond baseball, these coaches have helped shape our season in ways that won’t always show up in the scorebook.

Today we celebrate the dads, mentors, role models, and leaders who pour so much into our players every single week.

Thank you for teaching the game, building confidence, encouraging teamwork, and helping create memories these boys will never forget.

Happy Father’s Day to our Cubs coaches. We appreciate you more than you know. ⚾️💙

🏆 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME PLAYERS OF THE GAME 🏆

Congratulations to Carter and Dax on earning Player of the Game honors in the championship game! 💙⚾️

🔥 Carter put together a complete performance, dominating on the mound and helping lead the Cubs with phenomenal pitching while also staying hot at the plate with multiple ground-rule doubles.

📣 Dax earned his recognition for being the ultimate teammate and the Cubs’ chief hype man. His energy, enthusiasm, and constant encouragement kept the dugout engaged and the team rolling all game long.

One led with his arm and bat.
One led with his energy and heart.

Both played a huge role in helping the Cubs bring home the Gold Bracket Championship! 🏆👏🏽

⭐️⭐️ PLAYERS OF THE GAME ⭐️⭐️

Congratulations to Jett and Izzy on earning Player of the Game honors in today’s semifinal victory! 💙⚾️

Jett came up with a huge catch in left field, tracking down the ball and making a great defensive play when his team needed it.

Izzy put together one of his best at-bats of the weekend, driving a ball deep to center field and continuing to make an impact at the plate.

🏆 GOLD BRACKET CHAMPIONS 🏆

What a way to finish our final tournament of the 9U season!

The Cubs came ready to play on Championship Sunday, jumping out to a 20-0 lead in the title game before Mother Nature made another appearance. With weather moving into the area and the Cubs firmly in control, both teams agreed to end the game, making the Olentangy Cubs the Presidential Classic Gold Bracket Champions! 🥇⚾️

This group was locked in all weekend long. They played hard, competed for one another, and capped off an incredible tournament run with a championship.

As the final out of tournament season approaches, it’s hard not to be proud of how far these boys have come. The wins are great, but the growth, friendships, confidence, and memories made along the way are what make this team special.

One last tournament.
One championship finish.
A weekend these Cubs won’t soon forget. 💙

Congratulations to Liam and Bryan on earning Player of the Game honors during pool play action!

The Cubs went 2-0 and secured the #1 seed heading into bracket play. These two helped lead the way.

💍🏆 BETTER LATE THAN NEVER… CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS! 🏆💍

Before we talk about today’s tournament, we have to take a moment to celebrate something special.

On Wednesday night, our Cubs were awarded their championship rings for the Big Walnut Eagle Classic. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans, and the tournament was canceled before bracket play could be completed. As the #1 seed after pool play, the Cubs were officially crowned tournament champions and received the gold rings.

If we’re being honest, these boys would’ve much rather earned them on the field. They were ready to battle it out and finish what they started. But being the top seed after pool play isn’t easy, and their performance put them in position to bring home the hardware.

Fast forward to today, and the Cubs once again finished pool play as the ☝🏼seed, this time at the Presidential Classic in Marion. We’ve learned this season that being the top seed doesn’t guarantee anything once bracket play begins, so the focus now shifts to tomorrow.

One last tournament.
One last Sunday.
One last chance for this 9U group to write their ending.

The rings are a reminder of what they’ve accomplished.

Now they’re chasing the opportunity to earn the next one on the field.

📸⚾ Picture Day for the Cubs! ⚾📸

Today the boys traded their batting gloves for their best smiles as we captured another season of memories! From the dugout laughs to the game-winning moments still to come, these photos will tell the story of a team that’s built on hard work, friendship, and a whole lot of baseball.

A huge thank you to for spending the day with us and helping capture the personalities, energy, and spirit of this special group of Cubs.

Now it’s time to get back to what we do best… playing ball. 💙🐻⚾
