THE BOYS ARE BACK. 💙⚾️

10U baseball is officially underway, and the Cubs came out swinging with a 22-10 win over OBC Kemp to open the fall season!

A lot of familiar faces are back together, plus two great additions to the squad. Ellis and Nash both took the mound in their first game back with the Cubs organization and showed exactly why they earned their spots on this team. Ellis made his debut one to remember, earning Player of the Game honors alongside Dylan. 👏🏼

New season. New chapter. Same Cubs.

Olentangy White’s All-Star journey came to an end tonight with a hard-fought battle against Upper Arlington White. They found themselves in an early deficit, but these boys never stopped competing. They battled until the final out, showing the heart, resilience, and determination that make them so fun to cheer for.

A huge congratulations to our four Cubs who proudly represented the Olentangy White All-Star team:

A special thank you to Coach Shawn Freer for helping lead this incredible group. Your guidance, encouragement, and dedication made this experience one these boys will always remember.

These players represented the Cubs organization with pride, class, and outstanding sportsmanship every step of the way. We couldn’t be more proud of the way they competed and carried themselves on and off the field.

One Cub is still on the hunt for a championship. 💙 Carter Kopatich and Olentangy Blue take the field tomorrow night with a district title on the line, and the entire Cubs family will be cheering them on.

As our 9U travel season comes to a close, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate five Cubs who have been selected to represent Olentangy Little League in this year’s All-Star games!

Behind every great team is a group of coaches willing to give their time, energy, patience, and heart to help these boys grow.

From practices and tournaments to countless lessons that go far beyond baseball, these coaches have helped shape our season in ways that won’t always show up in the scorebook.

Today we celebrate the dads, mentors, role models, and leaders who pour so much into our players every single week.

Thank you for teaching the game, building confidence, encouraging teamwork, and helping create memories these boys will never forget.

🏆 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME PLAYERS OF THE GAME 🏆

Congratulations to Carter and Dax on earning Player of the Game honors in the championship game! 💙⚾️

🔥 Carter put together a complete performance, dominating on the mound and helping lead the Cubs with phenomenal pitching while also staying hot at the plate with multiple ground-rule doubles.

📣 Dax earned his recognition for being the ultimate teammate and the Cubs’ chief hype man. His energy, enthusiasm, and constant encouragement kept the dugout engaged and the team rolling all game long.

One led with his arm and bat.
One led with his energy and heart.

Both played a huge role in helping the Cubs bring home the Gold Bracket Championship! 🏆👏🏽

⭐️⭐️ PLAYERS OF THE GAME ⭐️⭐️

Congratulations to Jett and Izzy on earning Player of the Game honors in today’s semifinal victory! 💙⚾️

Jett came up with a huge catch in left field, tracking down the ball and making a great defensive play when his team needed it.

Izzy put together one of his best at-bats of the weekend, driving a ball deep to center field and continuing to make an impact at the plate.

🏆 GOLD BRACKET CHAMPIONS 🏆

What a way to finish our final tournament of the 9U season!

The Cubs came ready to play on Championship Sunday, jumping out to a 20-0 lead in the title game before Mother Nature made another appearance. With weather moving into the area and the Cubs firmly in control, both teams agreed to end the game, making the Olentangy Cubs the Presidential Classic Gold Bracket Champions! 🥇⚾️

This group was locked in all weekend long. They played hard, competed for one another, and capped off an incredible tournament run with a championship.

As the final out of tournament season approaches, it’s hard not to be proud of how far these boys have come. The wins are great, but the growth, friendships, confidence, and memories made along the way are what make this team special.

One last tournament.
One championship finish.
A weekend these Cubs won’t soon forget. 💙
