Next up, meet #8 Olivia Griffith!

Olivia is one of our most recent additions to the team! She is an incredibly versatile player who can be counted on in the circle, infield corners, or in the outfield. In a relatively short amount of time, she has developed into one of our most reliable pitchers, showing confidence, consistency, and a willingness to step into whatever role the team needs. Her versatility gives us flexibility defensively, and she brings that same dependability to the plate as a consistent hitter who adds tremendous value to our lineup.

But what really sets Olivia apart is her attitude and leadership. She is a great communicator, an encouraging teammate, and someone who is always looking for ways to lift up the girls around her. She leads by example, works hard, brings positive energy, and can be trusted when her team needs her most. She’s the kind of player every coach loves having on the field and every teammate is lucky to have beside them.

And then there is Tournament Captain Olivia…which is an entirely different level of serious. 🫡
When Olivia is chosen as captain, she considers it an official assignment. When she yells “WOW FACTOR ON 3!”, she does not need a microphone—the opposing team, umpires, spectators, concession stand workers, and probably everyone three fields over already know Wow Factor has arrived. 📣

Then comes the coin flip. Most players choose heads or tails, Olivia conducts a full scientific investigation. She studies the coin, analyzes both sides and considers what materials are heavier or lighter and gravity (apparently?) and then announces her decision. We have no idea where she was awarded this expertise but her success rate is actually pretty impressive, so we’ve learned not to question the process. 😂

Whether she’s pitching, making a play somewhere else on the field, stepping into the batter’s box, encouraging a teammate, or taking her captain duties VERY seriously, Olivia brings something valuable to this team every time she steps on the field.

We’re excited to have #8 and her family with us this season and can’t wait to watch her continue to grow as both a player and a leader!

Meet #29 Austen Worley!

Austen has been with us for a few seasons and may be one of the youngest girls on the roster, but you’d never know it by the way she competes. She’s funny, works hard, and is always one of the voices cheering loudly for her teammates. You can almost guarantee that at some point in a team meeting Austen is going to throw out at least one completely random comment 😂 We wouldn’t have it any other way!

At the plate, Austen steps into the box with confidence and is looking to hit—she isn’t up there hoping for a walk. She has delivered some big hits for us, including an inside-the-park home run at a recent tournament! Her confidence continues to grow, and we’re excited to see what she will do offensively this season.

Behind the plate, Austen has been putting in the work and developing into a great catcher. We expect to see her spend a lot more time there this season, and we’re excited to watch all that hard work pay off. When she’s not catching, you’ll find her in the outfield, where her speed and ability to track the ball have led to some outstanding catches.

We are so happy to have Austen and the Worley family back with us for another season. We can’t wait to see the big hits, great catches, plays behind the plate—and all of the completely out-of-pocket huddle comments and questions this season!

This past Saturday we played a tournament in Chattanooga. We were short a few key players but the girls still did great especially considering the extreme heat! Taking this upcoming weekend off for Labor Day.

Next up, meet #00 Mariah Johnson!

Mariah has been with us for several seasons and fit right in from the very first practice she attended. Mariah has a big personality, and aside from being a phenomenal athlete, she brings so much humor and energy to this team. She’ll be the first to let her teammates know when they’re “COOKING”, and no matter what role she’s asked to play, she always gives everything she has for her team.

And if there were an award for Most Glamorous Player on the Field, Mariah would win it every tournament. Full makeup, false eyelashes, colorful eye black, and occasionally a little hair glitter—because apparently you can make plays at shortstop and look fabulous doing it. ✨🥎

At the plate, Mariah has become a consistent part of our lineup and produces a lot of runs with timely hits and aggressive baserunning. She hits the ball HARD and has come through with some huge hits for us over the years. She also has a special relationship with the high pitch—we may tell her to lay off of it, but somehow those end up being some of her best hits. 🤭

Defensively, Mariah’s range, quickness, and arm strength make her fun to watch. She has done an incredible job at both shortstop and centerfield, but she has played just about everywhere and can step in wherever the team needs her. She has an absolute cannon for an arm! Now, does that cannon occasionally have its own GPS coordinates? Absolutely. We’re pretty sure nobody who witnessed Mariah launch a throw from third base completely over the backstop and into the parking lot will EVER forget it. 🤣 You can't teach that kind of arm strength—we'll just keep working on the destination!

Our team truly would not be the same without Mariah, and we are so happy to have #00 and the Johnson family back with us for another season. We already know there will be big hits, plenty of slides, big defensive plays, lots of laughs, plenty of sparkle, and probably a few more moments only Mariah could give us. 🖤🩶🤍

We can't wait to see what #00 does this season!

Meet #30 KK Goss!

KK has been with us for several seasons and was part of the original roster that helped build this team. She’s a leader on the field and one of the best examples of the mentality we want our girls to have. A strikeout, an error, or a tough play—she moves on to the next pitch and the next opportunity. Even better, she encourages her teammates to do the same.

Defensively, KK spends most of her time at 2nd base but she’s truly a utility player who can step in anywhere on the field. She has a high softball IQ, has made some incredible diving plays, and is one of our best at tracking down fly balls. Be on the lookout for her throws though, whether you're 1 foot or 100 feet away, KK has exactly one throwing speed 🤣 Better have that glove ready!

At the plate, KK brings a combination of power and consistency. When the pressure is high and the game is on the line KK is absolutely one of the girls we want up to bat! She has proven over and over that she can put together a quality at-bat, keep an inning moving, and come through when it matters.

Special shout out to KK's dad, Ben. He loves interacting with the girls and may be our unofficial Director of Celebrations 😂 After a big hit, look for the bubble and after a strikeout, you can bet another K is going up on the fence. He helps make the game fun for the girls, and we love having him there cheering them on.

We are so excited to continue having KK and her family as part of our Wow Factor family. We know this season will bring plenty more huge hits, diving plays, and exciting moments from #30!

Meet #66 Kaliyah Rash! 🥎

Kaliyah has been with us for a few seasons and helped shape the original roster into the team it is today. She brings a great attitude, a goofy personality, and is also a leader on the field and one of the loudest voices cheering on her teammates.

Defensively, Kaliyah primarily holds down 3rd base, but she is the definition of a true utility player and can confidently play just about anywhere on the field—except pitcher and catcher. Although, she does like to practice pitching at home occasionally. Kaliyah is quick to the ball, has great defensive form, and has also played a big part in quite a few caught-stealing plays!

At the plate, consistency and power is the best way to describe her. When Kaliyah gets a hit, its not a blooper—it’s a BOMB. Add in her speed and smart baserunning, and she's a complete offensive threat that we are glad we don't have to go against!

We’re so excited to continue watching Kaliyah compete and grow this season, and we love having the entire Rash family as part of our softball family! Her dad, Coach Matt, is on the field helping coach, while her sister Amiya is always willing to jump in wherever she's needed—throwingheavy balls, keeping the batting order moving in the dugout, or making sure the lineup music is going. The girls look up to Amiya and absolutely love having her around. Her Mom Nicole helps where she can as well and cheers loud for the team!

We know there are plenty of huge hits, great defensive plays, big smiles, and loud cheers coming from #66 this season. We can't wait to watch!

Next up is #11 AvaLeigh Brakebill!

Apparently she enjoys driving?!? Law Enforcement look away 😂, we need to keep her on the field.

Ava has been with us for a few years and has grown a ton in both height and skill! She is full of personality, a friend to every teammate, has a great attitude/mindset and its rare to see her down on herself. Her dad Wiley is a player favorite Coach and the best hype man in the dugout.

On the field, AvaLeigh locks down the infield corners (primarily 1st base) and has saved the day on a bad throw countless times. She can also be found out on the mound throwing strikes from time to time. On offense she brings power to the lineup and have seen some huge hits!

We are so excited for this season and we know AvaLeigh will do so many great things as she has before!

Today's Meet the Team player is #16 Evelyn Baker. Evelyn has recently joined the team and has fit in immediately. We are so happy to have her and her family join us! She is a great teammate and one of the best communicators during games.

Evelyn is a Catcher/Utility that can play just about anywhere but pitcher. Don't plan on stealing with Evelyn behind the plate, she has an accurate quick throw and isn't afraid to throw to any base if she sees an opportunity. On offense she has been such a huge addition to our already talented lineup! She has an aggressive approach but only swings at strikes. This past weekend Evelyn hit an in the park home run and without a doubt that won't be her last. She will also be a tremendous asset on the base paths with her speed and situational awareness.

So excited to watch all the great things she will do this season!
